The historical village of Pennal is just 1.5 miles away and offers a small village cafe, a lovely restaurant / bar and Plas Talgarth’s health and leisure complex. Ground Floor

The entrance of the property boasts a spacious layout, inviting guests to relax and unwind as soon as they arrive. With room for seating, guests can comfortably take a seat to kick off their shoes and hang their coats.

The welcoming lounge / dining room has a traditional cast iron and tiled open fireplace and beamed ceiling providing a warm, cosy atmosphere. Amazon Fire TV 40-inch 2-Series HD Smart TV and DVD provided, along with comfy seating and good quality antique furniture.

The well equipped new fitted kitchen includes an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge and microwave and is characterised by the old brick bread oven discovered while renovating (Freezer is in the converted outbuilding and washing machine available in the laundry room). Table and chairs for 4.

Large ground floor bathroom with a full size bath, a separate double shower unit, heated towel rail, wc and basin. Characterful original beamed ceiling.

The stairs lead directly to a spacious double bedroom with a dressing table and bedside tables with lamps. There is also a safety gate at the top of the stairs and a door at the bottom of the stairs.

Through this double room you have access to a second, cosy twin bedroom with a wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps. Both rooms have beamed sloping ceilings.

Garden

Traditional stable doors from the kitchen lead to a small, enclosed patio area with good quality rattan garden furniture.

A converted outbuilding on the yard also serves as a laundry room.

The cottage is located between Aberdyfi (6 miles) and Machynlleth (5 miles) and they both have that something special to offer. Aberdyfi is located in a beautiful spot where the mountains meet the sea and its sandy beach stretches for 4 miles, all the way to Tywyn. Amongst its amenities is an 18 hole golf course, beautiful walks, watersports, lovely cafes and shops and a number of restaurants, with Trefeddian  and Sea Breese both recommended.

A short journey in the other direction brings you to Machynlleth, the Ancient Capital of Wales where the first Welsh parliament still stands today. A genuine Welsh farming cottage in a fantastic location and surrounded by such beautiful and dramatic scenery. It was comfortable, peaceful and relaxing and within easy reach of everything that makes this part of the country so special, mountains, beaches, rivers, steam trains.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely well equipped cottage! It's in an ideal location for visits to the beach, the steam railway and the Mach loop. Machynlleth is a short drive away where you will find a large Co-op for supplies and also few take aways and pubs. Highly recommended, we will be staying again.
