This cottage is located in a small hamlet in North Pembrokeshire, just 3.5 miles from the historic market town of Fishguard and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Fishguard has an excellent selection of cafes and restaurants and also plays host to a popular folk festival each year. The coast path can also be accessed from here with miles of stunning scenery and pathways to explore, including a 12-mile walk from Fishguard to pretty Newport. For a day on the sand, head to pebble-backed Abermawr (3.5 miles) or head west to Abereiddy and take the plunge at the Blue Lagoon. St Davids can be reached in just 12 miles, where you can enjoy the shops, bars and restaurants of Britain's smallest city or tour its famous cathedral.

As you enter the cottage, you are welcomed into an open-plan lounge and dining room. The lounge enjoys a three-seater sofa and two armchairs centred around the cosy wood burner – light a fire and relax into the evening after a day of exploring the Pembrokeshire coast. There's a TV with a streaming package so you can keep up with all your favourite shows, and the dining table sits adjacent to the lounge area, comfortably seating four. The contemporary cottage kitchen has all your basic necessities to prepare simple meals or a picnic on the go during your stay and also has the convenience of a washer/dryer. The bathroom completes the ground floor with a shower over the bath, basin and WC. The traditional staircase sits at the centre of the cottage, leading up to your two generously proportioned bedrooms. There's a super-king-size room and a king-size room and both offer ample storage and furniture in keeping with the cosy cottage aesthetic.

Head out into the mature garden and you will find a large lawn area with steps leading up to a dining terrace and additional lawn space. There is a charcoal BBQ and an outdoor picnic table provided for guests to enjoy dining al fresco or a cool drink in the sun after a fun day out.

The cottage has amazing potential its in a great location for exploring the north side of south wales, its 20 mins from st. Davids, the blue lagoon and lots of other lovely places. The cottage is cosy and spacious, the heaters really warmed the place up fast and the shower was powerful and hot. having a washer/dryer was a huge help too, but we wereRead more really let down by the cleanliness. We spent the first day of our holiday purchasing and cleaning the cottage so we felt we could relax. even then there was, black mould i didn't want to go near and stains on the sofa and bedding so we used our own blankets to cover everything. we were constantly walking into dead spiders and cobwebs. i understand its in a rural location and i'm all for letting things grow wild for the wildlife but maybe cutting the grass of even half the garden would have made it nicer to sit outside, but as it was so overgrown we didn't spend any time in the garden area. The microwave was broken and although quickly resolved there was no communication and again more wasted time trying to use a broken microwave. as someone with OCD and my partner having severe allergies it made the holiday really difficult to relax. We havent been on holiday for over two years and we'd been saving hard and really excited for the break and it really did put a dampener on things. We made the most of our time but did leave a day early as we just wanted to be home and comfortable. We hope they can rectify this and make it better for people that book in the future but sadly i don't think we will be back. Hide

Really cosy cottage with some lovely character features (this does mean beautifully, old, exposed walls so don't expect immaculate finishings in every corner!) It is a naturally cool building but there are plenty of heaters and electric radiators (and log burner) so not an issue. Would happily stay again and Sam reccomend an amazing place for dinneRead morer - communication was excellent and hugely appreciated. Little piece of Welsh heaven Hide

Well equipped cottage, with a great main bedroom, shower is very good & having two loos is handy! Bring wood & kindling for the woodburner. Kitchen needs a bit of love, & lounge needs to be made more comfy. The road that is next to the cottage can be busy & it is fast. You need to be guided onto the road. It was very disappointing to find that the secure enclosed garden had a gate missing upon our arrival and frustrating that we had to build a barricade in the pouring rain, from what could be found in the garden, in order to prevent out 17 month old rescue JRT from running in to the road. His first holiday and our first holiday for 14 months. Not a Read moregreat start to our long awaited break. However, the cottage itself is lovely and the owners have done a good job inside. The only let down was the slightly shabby kitchen. There was plenty of room to stretch out as there was just the 2 of us and the dog. We found the cottage ideally placed for exploring the North of Pembrokeshire and further afield. Unfortunately there are no public footpaths in the immediate vicinity so we found we needed to walk our boy on the roads for his initial walk every morning. We found a bridal path, but it was flooded due to the torrential rain! I suspect that in glorious sunshine, this would be the perfect spot for holidaying in this area. With a few tweaks, it would be easier to manage very soggy days/wet and muddy boots and an inquisitive dog. Tactful suggestions have been made to the owner. Despite the awful weather we had this time, we would return here for another stay, hopefully in the sun next time. Hide

The cottage is really well placed for exploring the north of Pembrokeshire; a 5min drive into Fishguard and about 20mins into St David's, plus plenty of coastal walks close by as well. The cottage feels private and cosy on a rainy day, however it is pretty dark even on a bright day given its position in the hillside (at the back).
