Get the best of both worlds at this 5 star first floor holiday apartment, Cardiff. It offers all the benefits of a stunning rural location with two local pubs, whilst the centre of Cardiff is just 7 miles away. Uwch-y-llyn is one of two luxury holiday apartments situated on an impressive 20 acre estate in the Vale of Glamorgan. The perfect place to relax after exploring Cardiff and its many attractions. The Vale of Glamorgan Golf Course, Cottrell Park Golf Course, the South Wales coastline, Millennium Stadium, Swalec Stadium, and City of Cardiff Stadium are all within close proximity.

Uwch-y-llyn adjoins the owners property and was self built in 2009 on an impressive 240 acre farm land where race horses are bred. The land includes a small lake (fenced off with gated access) with an abundance of wildlife and fish, and the children will enjoy feeding the ducks, visiting the pet sheep and playing on the large lawn areas.

First Floor

All rooms are on the first floor with electric heaters throughout and comprises of an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen and two bedrooms.

Lounge/Dining Area: With smart TV, radio/CD, Wi-fi access, and a large comfy leather corner sofa (can also be used as a sofa bed sleeping an extra 2)

Kitchen Area: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, breakfast bar and high stools allowing full enjoyment of fantastic views across the lake and countryside.

Bedroom 1: With twin beds (can be zipped together if required) and en suite bathroom with shower over bath, WC and wash basin.

Bedroom 2: With double bed and en suite with shower, WC and wash basin.

Garden

This holiday apartment, Cardiff has large beautiful grounds and a fishing lake.

Patio area with garden furniture (shared with apartment below).

  • Outside utility room is shared between the two luxury holiday apartments on site. Includes washing machine and tumble dryer.
  • Secure fence around pond however children must not be left unattended in that area.

We enjoyed our short stay - comfortable beds, superb having two bathrooms, warm and welcoming and the view from kitchen window was lovely. Nice location down a quiet lane and a 12/15 min drive to M&S and Tesco. We will return to explore the area which we didnt have time to do on this visit.

Fabulous location with great views of the countryside and the animals. We loved watching the horses grazing and being exercised with Meg the dog. Apartment very cosy with good kitchen and bathrooms. Helpful and friendly owners on site.

This is not a five star property. Beautiful location with easy parking. Bright and usable kitchen area . Nice dining area, though chairs were replaced during our stay. Excellent television, but the sofas/ settees had a tear in the covering, and were worn and very uncomfortable. Bedrooms were well-furnished, though, beds were not entirely comfortaRead moreble for us . Black mould in the shower rooms needed attention, but there was ample hot water and nice towels . Yet, we enjoyed the locality and its many interesting attractions. Hide
