With Cardigan Bay, Tywi Valley and the Brecon Beacons National Park within easy reach, the cottage is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, ideal for bird watching (with the Red Kite a major attraction); garden visits, walking and trekking. Nestled in between the rural towns of Llandeilo, Llandovery and Lampeter, Bwthyn y Wennol is an ideal base for attractions such as Aberglasney Gardens, Dinefwr Park, Dolaucothi Gold Mines, the Red Kite Feeding Centre and Llyn y Fan Fach.
