This charming Welsh holiday cottage is an 18th century former miner’s cottage set in its own grounds in beautiful Mid Wales countryside. Full of character, it includes original features such as oak beams and a lovely oak inglenook with a cosy wood burner. 5 miles from Hendre holiday cottage Machynlleth – the ancient capital of Wales offers many small, unique shops, cafes, pubs and the old parliament house. Surrounded by nature, walks and bike trails, with watersports and beaches also within 20 minutes.

Ground Floor

This carefully renovated Welsh holiday cottage has a wealth of its original character retained. All the original oak beams are in place as well as the original bread oven in the inglenook with its cosy wood burner. Family lounge with Sky smart TV, DVD Radio and CD Player.

The new all electric kitchen is well equipped with a cooker, ceramic hob, microwave, integrated dishwasher and fridge/freezer, as well as the usual range of cutlery and crockery.

Downstairs bathroom with shower over the bath and a washer in the utility.

Upstairs

This charming property boasts three spacious bedrooms, each thoughtfully furnished to ensure comfort and style. The master bedroom features a luxurious king-sized bed, while the second bedroom offers a cosy double bed. The third bedroom is perfect for a single occupant. All rooms are adorned with lovely Welsh blankets and provide ample storage space. Each bedroom offers stunning views of the picturesque Welsh countryside, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere.

Additionally, there is an upstairs cloakroom equipped with a WC and a wash-hand basin for your convenience.


Garden

Hendre holiday cottage Machynlleth is nestled in the hills and set in its own garden, the garden furniture is placed by amazing views over the surrounding farmland. A beautiful place to enjoy a really relaxing holiday with many walks starting from the front door.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hendreron cottage. Everything we needed was provided. The large beds were particularly comfortable. Parking was super easy and spacious. The owner was very attentive and helpful. The local town has a decent supermarket so you don't have to go far for supplies. The countryside is absolutely stunning (we were blessed witRead moreh perfect weather all week) and the nearby coast and sandy beaches are perfect for family trips or just walking along. We wished we stayed for 2 weeks! We highly recommend staying here. Hide

What a wonderful time we had staying at Hendre Cottage. The place was beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. The whole cottage was equipped with everything we needed beautifully clean and was perfect for our family. We would happily return for another stay and whole-heartedly recommend it

We enjoyed our stay here, it is more comfortable and better equipped than most properties we have stayed at. The location is nice with lovely views. The only irritant was because it is a mountain road groups of sports cars and motorbikes drive up and down very fast every so often, and because the cottage is very close to the road and single glazed Read moreit can be a bit unnerving. We only experienced this a few times at the weekend though, the rest of the week was quiet and it wouldn't put me off staying there. Hide

We had a lovely stay here and it had everything you needed to stay in the cottage lovely open fire and plenty of space indoors location good if you like walking and outdoors, would come again.

We enjoyed sitting out in the evening and watching the cows and sheep which came to peer at us through the fence. Whilst there were only two of us there is plenty of space for five people. Great facilities and a peaceful location, we would definitely think about a return visit.
