This pet-friendly Dolgellau holiday cottage offers excellent walking, water sports and mountain biking (Coed-y-Brenin) and is only 12 miles from the sandy beaches at Barmouth and Fairbourne. Cae Merllyn holiday cottage in Snowdonia National Park is based on a working sheep farm 2 miles from Dolgellau and enjoys beautiful countryside views. It also has a lawned area with picnic bench and outdoor toys.

Ground Floor

Adjoining the owners’ farmhouse B&B, this Dolgellau holiday cottage has a fitted kitchen including a refrigerator, kettle, hob, oven, microwave, slim dishwasher etc, a cosy living room with a Smart TV, electric fire and a dining table, and a ground floor bath/shower room. Utility outbuilding with w/machine, t/dryer, freezer and lockable storage space.

Upstairs

3 cosy bedrooms overlooking great countryside views. This includes 1 double with cot, 1 twin and 1 single, all bedrooms provide guests with plenty of storage space. 

Garden

Enclosed lawned area with a picnic bench, BBQ and outdoor toys.

Lockable outbuilding with w/machine, t/dryer and storage space for bikes etc.

Additional Information

Milk in the fridge coffee, tea, sugar, biscuits and cake to welcome you on arrival. Let us know if you're celebrating a special occasion and we will include an extra surprise in your welcome pack as well.

Towels and bed linen provided.

Cot and Highchair available on request. 

Electricity and oil central heating included.

Wi-fi available at the cottage.

Range of games and films provided.

Food delivery service is available to the cottage. Further details will be sent when you book your holiday.

Free chauffeur service available to town and back on request (ask the owner).

If you wish, we can also book a table in advance for you at one of the recommended local restaurants. Let us know when and what kind of food and setting you require and we will do the rest.

Lovely little cottage. There were five adults and it was very cosy. Not far from amenities and the cottage had everything required for our stay and more. It was a nice touch that they had left a couple of easter eggs and cakes. Beautiful views and not far for walks. Hats off to the owners.

I really enjoyed our stay. It was very roomy downstairs and has a lovely cosy feel. The owners had left a fire playing on the telly which was lovely and half a cake on the table (which was lovely). Kitchen was very well equipped, hair dryers in both bedrooms. Strong WiFi. Great location, the Torrent Walk which is only 10 mins away by foot was a lovRead moreely walk. The whole experience was brilliant. The cottage was clean, tidy and it was ridiculously cosy. Outside had enough space for the dog and the setting was so quiet and idyllic. The beach is 20 minutes away and there is a lovely walk around the waterfalls at the top of the road. The town is only 10 minutes away in the car too. I couldnt find a takeaRead moreway to deliver but it was easy enough to collect. I honestly cant rate this place highly enough and will definitely be booking again. Thank you for a brilliant weekend! We have absolutely loved our week here! Cae Merllyn is beautifully decorated and well equipped; the kitchen has everything you need and more, while the open plan living and dining area has worked perfectly for our family! It is in a great location for anyone wanting to explore Snowdonia National Park or visit the local Towns and Valleys. We have Read moreenjoyed finding all the local waterfalls, beautiful walks, horse riding, Snowdon, Port Meirion, King Arthur's Labyrinth, Zip World, the beach and more! Super cottage. Loved having towels and bedding there. Also the basics, milk in the fridge and some traditional Welsh treats. Garden safe for the dogs, really comfortable and such a treat to have Netflix to watch when we collapsed every evening. A real home from home. Highly recommended.

Had such a lovely holiday. The cottage is beautiful with everything you want. Ideally located away from busy areas but close enough to all amenities and beach. Lovely views from the cottage. And our dogs loved the enclosed garden and friendly dog

We stayed at the property for one week. I can only describe the cottage and surroundings as totally delightful. We enjoyed a relaxing holiday and country walks, like snowdonia national park, were within a short driving distance. The cottage was comfortable, very clean and well equipped. The only recommendations woukd be a fire extinguisher in the eRead morevent of a fire. Also the post code took us to the door step of the next door neighbours property, there wasn't a sign post for car merllyn on the self catering property information on arrival. Really looking forward to our next stay at cae merllyn Hide
