The Barn in Croyde is a new house built on the site of an old storage barn for the historic market nearby. It enjoys views over the countryside and benefits from oak and tile floors, under-floor heating and features that reflect its history such as exposed beams. It has its own drive and you enter through stable doors in to an open plan fully equipped kitchen/diner with granite worktops. The bedroom is also on the ground floor and for alternative sleeping arrangements, an additional narrow single bed is available as well as the super king size bed. Completing the ground floor accommodation is the wet room with an attractive tiled floor and a Croyde themed shower. An oak staircase leads up to the stunning lounge, which fills the whole first floor and features vaulted ceilings, exposed roof timbers, glazed balustrades and a completely glazed gable end with bi-folding doors leading out to the decking and garden. The south-facing decking has patio furniture for al fresco dining and sea glimpses. There is a further patio area with steps down to the front of the property and drive. The barn can be booked on its own or jointly with the main house (HILLSI) which sleeps 10. Croyde beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its geological features. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment

this was an immaculated property which had been furnished and decorated to the highest standard. there was a pub just down the road which was very friendly and served excellent meals at reasonable prices

Beautifully furnished, modern property, very clean, spacious and airy for a one bed, much bigger than many two bed properties we have stayed in.. Lovely big bedroom with a huge comfy bed. The kitchen is spacious, sufficiently stocked with good size fridge/freezer. The property is "end" onto the road with a short walk into Croyde Village (10 mins) Read moreor Georgeham (10/15mins uphill), however there are no pavements into croyde so caution needed. If you have a dog, its worth noting the back garden is open and part shared with the house next door so its hard to stop them wandering. There are also open metal steps leading down from the patio area to the driveway and the road. Our dog did not like the metal steps so avoided them anyway but it could be a little issue for a more adventurous dog. That said we loved the property and would highly recommend. Hide

Lovely barn within a beautiful area. Only a short walk into Croyde. A good size for two people. It is on a busy country road, pulling out of the drive can be very tricky.

Were just back from a lovely break at The Barn in Croyde. The cottage was beautiful. Kitchen was fantastic and very well kitted out with equipment. The bed was very comfy. Very peaceful even though fronts onto road. Ten minute walk to Croyde. Would definitely recommend a torch if walking back in dark. Nice spacious feel to the property. Loved opening up the bifold doors on to the large terrace in the evening. All you could need in terms of equipment etc and, most important a really comfortable bed. One or two minor items in need of attention.

A lovely well appointed spacious apartment albeit a little way out of the main village. We were very impressed with the decor and facilities provided. Just a 10 minute walk to the Manor House Inn for good food and drinks. We visited in April when the weather was not good but the quality of the accommodation made up for the miserable weather.

Property is very modern, comfortable and the owners have thought of everything. Great location as there are 4 beaches within easy access, walking distance to Croyde Bay and local pubs that do great food.
