There are bedrooms on both the ground and first floor, the two upstairs bedrooms being connected by a glass walkway that runs across the main width of the building. With a large private garden with a small orchard for summer entertaining, the owners have created a truly delightful holiday home with many creature comforts for you to enjoy your stay. Within easy reach of the coast and in the same village as the world-renowned Thursford Collection and Christmas Spectacular, a stay at Golden Lion Barn is not to be missed. Shop/Pub: 2 miles

Thursford is a small village with a big reputation being home to one of the world's most important steam and fairground museums, The Thursford Collection, which also hosts a spectacular Christmas show each year. This is a great area for walking; Thursford Wood contains 500-year-old oak trees and the coastal villages of Cley-next-the-Sea, Wells-next-the-Sea, Blakeney, Morston and Stiffkey, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, are only a few miles away; walk on the sandy beaches, bird watch on the marshes and eat at some great restaurants and cafes along the coast. The nearby Georgian town of Holt is a must, as are the historically important villages of Little Walsingham and Binham, with its beautiful Priory ruins. Also don't miss out on the grand houses of the region at Holkham and Houghton - there is much to see in this corner of Norfolk and something for everyone.

The house was lovely, spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. It was a nice surprise to see the thoughtful welcome pack too. A great base for exploring the north coast of Norfolk.

Its exactly as per the photos. Great location, peaceful, close to the coast, close to Holt (if you fancy a bit of shopping). All in all probably the best accomodation weve ever hired in Norfolk and perfectly set up for furry friends (enclosed garden front and back). Well be back!!!

Wow! We had the most enjoyable stay at the barn. The barn is located in a beautiful location & I could not believe just how well equipped the barn was, whatever we needed it was there. Lovely well equipped barn conversion on a fabulous quiet location close to the North Norfolk coast. Great for an extended family with the downstairs twin bedroom and bathroom. Everything you need for a comfortable stay and lovely thoughtful extras. Gardens lovely with a choice of seating for evening catch ups as the sun sets.

Loved the cottage. Very well equipped and very well presented. Loved the location, for dog walks and plane spotting. Close enough to all the places we wanted to visit, Cromer, Wells and Sandringham. The flies were a nuisance and did affect how we ate at the cottage. Golden Lion Barn is very well appointed and had everything we needed for a family of five adults. The beds are on the soft side but very comfortable, the living room has two comfy sofas and an armchair and well set out for lounging, watching tv or just chatting. The kitchen has everything you need and everything was in good working order. A lovely barn conversion with beautiful garden. The place was spotless and the little extras were well received thank you. Lovely and peaceful and a small tawny owl would land on the telegraph pole in the back each night. We had a very nice relaxing holiday.

A lovely space decorated thoughtfully. The garden was great for our kids and dog to play in, and the space inside adequate for six people. Theres only space for two cars to park so you cant have any extra guests visit. A good location for visiting the coast and other attractions in north Norfolk.

A very comfortable, 3 bedroomed property in a great location for exploring north Norfolk. The barn can easily take 6 adults and 2 dogs, albeit the downstairs bedroom is tight as a double. The parking is very tight if you have more than 1 car and the external furniture was covered in bird poo that had clearly been there for some time. Golden Lion Barn was a great place for a family stay. The property was very comfortable and well equipped, and is only 20 minutes from Wells Next The Sea and Holkham. Despite the weather in March being quite cold, the house was always a comfortable temperature. The enclosed back garden is perfect if you're staying with a dog, and the entrance toRead more the front is also enclosed. The kitchen had everything needed, and there is plenty of space for preparing meals. house was clean but want a deep clean ,house was plagued with flys stickers on doors and window but electric fly killer required car park small for 2 cars but overall we had a good holiday
