For the more energetic, bring your bike – and discover this beautiful part of the coast, much of which lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Blakeney with its harbour, marshes and beautiful scenery is a hotspot for a great coastal holiday. The quayside is the hub of the village, where the tidal creeks rise and fall; it’s a great place for the family to try their hand at crab catching or a good starting point for a walk with the dog along the coastal path to Morston. Have lunch at The Anchor and catch the Coast Hopper bus back. Take a trip out to Blakeney Point and see one of the largest seal colonies in the UK basking in their natural habitat; come in November and see the new-born pups too. The village has a good local store, an excellent delicatessen and some good places to drink and eat. This part of the coast is stunning and diverse and you will be able to find, sailing, walking, birdwatching, cycling and so much more. Venture inland to the elegant Georgian town of Holt and spend a day wandering in and out of its antique shops and art galleries, boutiques and book shops, food hall and fishmongers, its charm will have you hooked! There is much to discover in this glorious patch of Norfolk, one visit will certainly not be enough.

Had such a lovely stay and fell in love with Blakeney. Comfy furniture, cosy warm cottage, lovely setting and all we needed. Was a bit sad not to be able to have bedding washed in fragrance free detergent (allergies) so had to bring our own but also we checked before coming re the size bedding to bring (double duvet) - but we didnt know/missed the Read morebit where it said it was a king sized mattress so our fitted double sheet didnt fit. We made do with only a bit of itchiness and the odd wheeze but we will know to take a flat not a fitted sheet next time and it didnt spoil the lovely holiday. Would definitely stay again. Hide

Lovely comfortable little cottage. Fabulous location. It was warm, clean and well equipped. The parking at the back was an absolute game changer, although very tight to turn into and out of! Will definitely come back.

Cosy and comfortable, more than enough space for the two of us. Excellent walking area, and thoroughly enjoyed the Kings Arms public house for food.

Highly recommend Dottys cottage, and beautiful Blakeney! Myself, my wife, my two teenage sons and two little dogs had a fabulous stay (despite the dismal British summer weather!)
