The area is also good cycling country and the RSPB nature reserve at Strumpshaw Fen is close at hand for birdwatchers and nature lovers alike.  The Fairhaven Woodland & Water Garden Trust at South Walsham makes for a lovely day out and The Broads network is on the doorstep for river trips, canoeing, kayaking and nature trails. Whilst here jump on the Bure Valley railway for a steam train journey that will take you from Wroxham to the lovely Georgian market town of Aylsham.  On your way to discover the cultural delights of Norwich, just 8.5 miles away, why not drop in to sample some award winning wine at the Winbirri Vineyards at Surlingham.  Norwich itself is a great city to explore with a castle, two cathedrals, the Norfolk Regimental Museum, historic riverside pubs, great restaurants and café culture and a little retail therapy is always on the cards here too! A really wonderful place to stay and unwind in nature. Simply lovely. The pool was great, the house had everything we needed, and the wildlife was abundant! We were made to feel welcome. Wildlife highlights were seeing a stoat whizz around and getting photos of some brilliant Raptors.

Beautiful location, fully equipped cottage, and great pool. We had a lovely week, helped by amazing weather, but this place would be great come rain or shine. Will hopefully be back in the future.

The cottage is set on a wonderful plot, with stunning views. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and games in the dining area which makes it truly self catering. Our kids loved it as much as us.

Beautifully presented accommodation in a stunning location overlooking a lake. There was woodland where we could safely walk our dogs daily. They had a lovely time exploring. The location was ideal with easy access to the broads and the coast where we explored some fantastic beaches.
