Crown Cottage is a charmingly restored 13th century former mill cottage in the pretty village of Llangian, just over a mile away from Abersoch and the fabulous beach at Hells Mouth (Porth Neigwl). The cottage has a large lawn and garden to the rear with shrub borders and wild flower areas. Llangian itself is a peaceful little village with a small shop and beautiful church.
The cottage - has a homely feel having been lovingly cared for and upgraded by the current owners' of many years. Underfloor heating on ground floor.
Kitchen dining room - the front door leads to the kitchen dining room, which is furnished with some antique pieces including a large dresser, dining table and chairs. The simple kitchen is well equipped to include an electric oven and hob, compact dishwasher and washing machine. There are views out over the garden and a stable door leading to the patio, ideal for outside entertaining!
Living room - entrance to the living room is through a small snug room with sofa. The living room has a large inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove (initial logs supplied), and lovely wooden parquet style flooring. This room is comfortably furnished with country style chairs, a sofa and flatscreen, Freeview TV. A door leads to the patio from here.
Bathroom - the ground floor bathroom has a bath with electric shower over.
Quite steep wooden stairs lead to the attic bedrooms, both full of character with sky lights making them feel lovely and bright.
Bedroom 1 - the double bedroom is accessed through the twin room but does have a door for privacy. Antique furniture and a small sofa for relaxing.
Bedroom 2 - the spacious twin room has two double beds, pine flooring and simple country furniture.
Outside - the large informal garden has several seating areas to make the most of the sun, and a patio with table and chairs. There is a small stream running alongside the garden so toddlers should always be supervised.
The local shop has basic supplies and there are further supermarkets and shops in Abersoch and Pwllheli. From this peaceful location you are just a short drive away from the bustle of Abersoch with its cafes, pubs and shops and of course the stunning beaches of the Llyn Peninsula, for relaxing or for water sports. Away from the coast things are a bit more peaceful with many places of historic interest, and rural walking. The National Trust's Plas Yn Rhiw is close by, also the visitor centre at Porth y Swnt, Aberdaron, and the managed area at Porth Dinllaen famous for the beach side pub, Ty Coch. Further afield there are many opportunities for day trips to places such as Porthmadog, with its steam railway, Portmeirion or Caernarfon.
