We had a lovely stay at this cottage in Dunwich. The house was clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The highlight was the beautiful setting - backing onto wetlands and fields with stunning views, and even deer wandering just beyond the garden. A peaceful and relaxing place to stay.

A wonderfully presented and comfortable home, incredible views of the reedlands out back where you can spot harriers & deer. Lovely touches all over the property, and the heat pump keeps it very toasty! Any tall guests should be mindful of some doorways, don't bump your head!

We had a lovely week in the School House, enjoying the space inside and the wonderful views outside. We were very comfortable in this well equipped house which is within very easy walking distance of the Dunwich beach and a great pub. Our stay was enhanced by wonderful weather, not guaranteed at this time of year but such a bonus. Two of us bookeRead mored the sunset sauna ( sauna in a box on the edge of the beach) one evening and would highly recommend. We would definitely return. Hide

We had a wonderful time in the School House, the rooms were clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The views were stunning and the use of the telescope was a welcome addition. We loved the cosy lounge to relax in in the evenings and the garden was good to sit in and watch & listen to the wildlife. We definitely hope to return.

We had a lovely stay, location and scenery stunning, tastefully decorated but there were some issues if addressed would have made our stay 10/10. The sofa was pleasing on the eye but too low and too soft for our party (aged mid 50s-mid 80s) The views across the marches to the woods & Southwold in the distance were beautiful as was the wildlife Read morewe saw. Just a pity the huge windows were so cob webby - it's the countryside and must be a difficult task. Patio chairs lean back too far causing back pain after a while, not ideal for reading a book or sitting and taking in the views. Master bedroom has the most horrendous creaking floor outside ensuite which woke the whole house and really needs to be addressed. The double mattress in bedroom 2 wasn't paricularly comfortable. On the landing there is a step leading to the main bathroom which serves bedroom 2&3. There is plenty of room opposite bathroom door to have a decorative floor lantern on a timer. We had to take a bedroom lamp to plug in on the landing so my elderly Mother in law could see the step during the night whilst using bathroom. Appreciated having 3 showers, plenty of hot water and excellent appliances. I would recommend to a friend but would also highlight our issues with the accommodation. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk: Thank you for your review. We can confirm that we will discuss this with the owner. Hide
