Hidden away down one of Padstow's tiny alleyways you will find the lovely character cottage, 'Chy Gwyn Rosen', which is Cornish for 'White Rose Cottage'. This cosy and charming home has many original features preserved; stone fireplace, slate flagged floor and stripped doors and floorboards resulting in a sweet little holiday home.  Of course, it helps to have modern conveniences as well and there is no shortage at Chy Gwyn Rosen which has full central heating and a dishwasher to ensure your stay is a comfortable one.  The cottage is ideal for walking into the town to visit the many excellent pubs and restaurants as it is only a minute's walk from the harbour. Padstow is full of charm with a beautiful unspoilt harbour and a maze of picturesque narrow streets with many interesting shops and galleries as well as tea shops, patisserie, delicatessen - not forgetting several pasty shops! There are beaches both sides of the river estuary; only a few minutes' walk on the Padstow side and a quick hop across the river on the ferry to get to Rock.

We love this cottage & have stayed multiple tines over the last decade! It never disappoints - all the mod cons you'd expect, cosy & quiet, & absolutely the perfect location to explore Padstow Old Town & beyond. Our car barely moves from the time we unpack as there are so many walks accessible from the front door. We shall return!

All in all, although I have put a couple of comments, I loved the location, the cottage was ok, but not the best I have stayed in, saying that, I would go back as location is key and spot on for Padstow

Cottage location is perfect but super small! A few things to note - layout not great! You cannot comfortably seat 4 round the table, garden is front of the cottage and not private. Main bedroom lacks storage and is a small double for 2 adults but we had a great week and location just off the harbour is ideal! Local parking also nearby which is convRead moreenient! Hide

A lovely little place to stay in prime location! The sofa, and beds were comfortable and although there is no space for wardrobes, there are hangers and under the bed drawers for your clothing. I have stayed in several places in Padstow with my daughter, but this was our favourite . As it is open plan downstairs it seems to make the most of the avRead moreailable space. Everything you need in the kitchen. The outside seating was a suntrap in the morning, and shady by the afternoon, perfect!! I would definitely stay here again. Hide
