Swanton Novers is a small peaceful village that is surrounded by meadows and ancient woodlands.  Two hundred acres of this woodland is managed by English Nature and forms one of the country's most important woodland reserves. The Honey Buzzard is a regular visitor and with a raptor watch point, this could be a birdwatchers heaven! The area abounds with footpaths and quiet country lanes ideal for walking and cycling and the Georgian market town of Holt with its boutique shops, well-known food hall, café culture, art galleries and antique hunting haunts is almost on the doorstep.  A short drive and you are at the coast. Discover the delightful villages of Blakeney, Cley-next-the-Sea and drop in to the village store at Stiffkey for a coffee and some of the best brownies around!  A little further up the coast you will find fabulous sandy beaches at Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham, backed by pinewoods under huge Norfolk skies.  Whilst here visit Holkham Hall and deer park, the seat of the Earls of Leicester, this beautiful palladian mansion is a site not to be missed. This is a super part of Norfolk for a holiday and one stay here will probably not be enough!

Access to upstairs is uncomfortable because of a low beam in the stairwell. A warning sign exists, but quite difficult for even average height people to avoid bumping heads. Otherwise comments as above.

Loved it. Homely and cosy. Bed incredibly comfy. The location is wonderful, bird song and peace. Lots to see without having to drive that far. Amenities are good. A very tastefully decorated cottage, what's not to like!! Can definitely recommend

This is a very peaceful and cosy place to stay. It wouldn't be suitable for people who want to cater for themselves all week as the kitchen is extremely small with not much room for food prep., dishing up etc. Great for minimalists!
