Cherry Tree House is a gem! If you are looking for a slightly quirky house for up to eight people, within easy walking distance of Helmsley town centre, look no further. Throughout this spacious house, fascinating artefacts and interesting features provide added interest. The owner has spent a lifetime collecting furniture and antiquities, and Cherry Tree House is the perfect showcase. The kitchen diner is a fantastic space to relax, eat and entertain, with a large table and a contemporary kitchen. The chefs in your party are well catered for with an Aga and contemporary oven and hob, and with two dishwashers no-one is going to be stuck at the sink for long. The adjoining family area provides additional space to watch TV or play a game, yet within the same area. The separate lounge and garden room offer plenty of space for everyone. If you want to escape, why not fling open the patio doors in the garden room and relax with a book or enjoy a quiet glass of wine whilst taking in the view of the patio. Upstairs, the bedrooms are all of a good size. Two are en suite and the free standing cast iron bath in the master bedroom en suite offers an extra touch of luxury. Outside, the patio has a table and chairs for enjoying meals al fresco or perhaps you will use the charcoal barbecue. A large cherry tree dominates the patio, providing shade in this suntrap area. There is also a large grassed area for the more active, and plenty of space for off-road parking. It is just a five minute walk to Helmsley town centre, with its boutique and individual shops, and great choice of pubs, cafes and restaurants. The two large hotels have outstanding restaurants, and offer afternoon teas. The Michelin starred The Star Inn at Harome is a couple of miles away. Whether you are looking for a house for a family get-together, a special celebration, or just want somewhere with plenty of space, Cherry Tree House should definitely be considered.

This is a large comfortable house located within a few minutes walk of the town. Apart from the Kitchen, which is ultra modern complete with a Range and Induction Hob, the furnishings etc are interesting and many look like they could have come from a reclamation yard or antique shop. We seemed to discover something new to look at every day. There iRead mores a huge dining room table and two sitting rooms/spaces both complete with a variety of sofas and T.V.s. Very comfortable cottage in a great location. You can easily walk into Helmsley. Lovely and warm. Beds and sofas are very comfortable and the large dining room table is great to sit round and chat. 2 very large double bedrooms and 2 much smaller twins. No wardrobes in the twins which some groups of adults may not like.
