It really isn't possible to get closer to the water than Chandlers, a comfortable apartment where you can actually fish from the balcony at high tide if you wish. The fantastic uninterrupted views of the ever changing river can be enjoyed from the lounge/kitchen/diner and bedroom. On a warm day you can open the balcony door and enjoy all the boats and ships passing by within 200 yards. There is also a great view of 'Ferryside' the one time home of author Daphne du Maurier across the water at Bodinnick. This is du Maurier country and the acclaimed Fowey festival attracts many to its talks, walks, plays and poetry. The centre of Fowey with its many independent shops, cafes, inns and restaurants is within a few hundred yards walk.

GARDEN & PARKING: Small wooden balcony. No parking, weekly parking is available in one of the two car parks within 200 yards.

Chandlers is a perfect apartment for two people with a beautiful outlook from the living room and bedroom over the river. It is very well equipped and very clean. You can sit in the large comfortable bed and watch the boats go by. Its a short walk to the shops, bars, restaurants etc, and a short walk to the two long stay car parks. The cottage is in a lovely position - far enough away from the crowds but within a short distance to everywhere in Fowey. The cottage is warm and cosy with all the amenities you should want. Whilst it didn't bother me - you can hear the car ferry and for those sensitive to noise or are light sleepers - this may not be the place for you.

We have just spent a wonderful fortnight here. The property was clean, welcoming and well equipped. We loved the balcony and spent time reading, fishing and watching the boats on the water. The location was perfect for the town and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

I don't think we will ever stay in such a lovey location again. We never got bored of looking at the river, observing the rising & falling tides, not to mention the expensive yachts sailing by. I also want to mention the superb service we got from the girls in the Cornish Holiday office in Fowey.

This is a perfect property in which to relax and unwind, the setting on the river is incredibly beautiful, and the place was spotlessly clean when I arrived. The selection of books was very appropriate- I spent many a happy evening reading Daphne du Maurier during my stay. Great location overlooking the mouth of the river, enabling us to watch the the ever-changing river activities. The property was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The balcony was a little tight for two adults but that didn't really bother us. Overall, I thoroughly recommend it.
