Owl Cottage is situated on the south east side of Holt a six minute walk from both the town centre and the local country park. It is ideally located for exploring the North Norfolk coast. Originally a railway cottage with flint and brick facade, it has been extended, tastefully renovated and refurbished to provide excellent family accommodation. Shop/Pub: all within easy walking distance.

Holt is a renowned Georgian town with a charm and character of its own, with an interesting selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. On the outskirts of the town is the popular Poppy Line railway run by amateur enthusiasts and is one of the main attractions in the area. There are good beaches at Sheringham, 6 miles, Holkham, 8 miles and Cromer, 10 miles. The area is also a birdwatcher's paradise with Cley Marshes and Titchwell (RSPB) only a short drive, with Snettisham and Stubbs Mill further on. Several historic homes are nearby - Holkham Hall, Fellbrigg Hall, The Blickling Estate and Oxburgh Hall. The Cathedral City of Norwich is 20 miles away, the Royal Estate at Sandringham is 25 miles and The Broads 30 miles away.

We had a great week in Owl cottage. It was perfect for us. We have a Jack Russell and walking in the Holt country Park, 5 minutes walk away , was excellent. The cottage is just appointed and.the location, just outside Holt, is fine with easy access to major roads without going through the centre.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was spacious , nicely decorated and very well equipped. There was a very nice atmosphere about the house. We werent able to use the garden sadly as it was too early in the year but it was very nice and in the summer would definitely come into its own. Very secure also, which is good for dogs. Lovely place to stay, all the home comforts provided. It was cold when we were there beginning of January and we were very warm and cosy in the cottage. Would highly recommend.

This is a lovely and well equipped cottage in a great location and proximity to the centre of Holt. It is central to many areas of interest and near to the country park for dog walking. The kitchen was fabulous for making family meals and lots of little extras such as Salt & Pepper, washing up liquid teatowels etc. Would highly recommend and we wilRead morel certainly return. Hide

This cottage is a short easy walk from Holt centre although it's not in a very scenic position, being very close to a busy main road. The kitchen is well equipped .

This cottage is really nice. Good location and comfortable. Just a few attentions to detail would make it perfect. Oven is clean A very rare occurrence. Well done.

Lovely cosy cottage, with the log burner,well equipped, everything you could possibly need, secure rear courtyard to keep your four legged guests safe(very important).Easy to find,few minutes walk into Holt, there didn't seem to be any closer shops,if there were i didn't see them.vital parking place right on the property Very happy to recommend

Owl cottage is one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in over several years. The place was spotless and very neat and tidy. It had everything you could want in it and was in an excellent location just five minutes walk from the lovely village of Holt. This was our second visit to Owl Cottage, and we are looking to book again for next year...I think that says it all. A more powerful shower would be nice and the TV reception is a bit temperamental but apart from those it is perfect. Very comfortable and homely cottage,ideal for dogs with the lovely enclosed garden.the property was spotless,and the icing on the cake is the parking.with just a short walk under the underpass to Holt town centre. m.k.leverett.
