Holt is a renowned Georgian town with a charm and character of its own, with an interesting selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and tea rooms. On the outskirts of the town is the popular Poppy Line railway run by amateur enthusiasts and is one of the main attractions in the area. There are good beaches at Sheringham, 6 miles, Holkham, 8 miles and Cromer, 10 miles. The area is also a birdwatcher's paradise with Cley Marshes and Titchwell (RSPB) only a short drive, with Snettisham and Stubbs Mill further on. Several historic homes are nearby - Holkham Hall, Fellbrigg Hall, The Blickling Estate and Oxburgh Hall. The Cathedral City of Norwich is 20 miles away, the Royal Estate at Sandringham is 25 miles and The Broads 30 miles away.
