This delightful first floor apartment in the grand Victorian building Carlton Lodge, looks out over horseshoe shaped Viking Bay with the Lift to the Sands, cliff top gardens and bandstand.  The apartment offers bright spacious accommodation for four people with a lovely balcony to sit and enjoy the beautiful sea views.  Broadstairs is the essence of the traditional seaside holiday with its sandy beaches offering Punch and Judy, tea rooms, penny arcade and retro ice cream parlours like the famous Morellis.  The town is literally on your doorstep with a great choice of restaurants and shops. Speaking as a holidaymaker in England for over 15years, using seafront balcony apartments exclusively, I can only describe Carlton Bay View as just about perfect.

Lift needs to be repaired urgently. Also front door at street level is very unreliable to lock. Response from holiday cottages.co.uk - building management have advised that the lift button with the missing cover has been repaired and the street door lock is secure

Me and a friend, we are in our 60s, enjoyed our time in this lovely apartment. My friend said she had never stayed in such a large double bedroom, which also has a good sized en-suite with a walk in shower. We enjoyed having our morning cup of tea on the balcony in the sunshine and people watching. There are amazing views over the sea from the balcRead moreony and a bandstand just over the road, so we could also sit and listen to the music from there during the afternoons. The apartment had everything we needed. It is also a short walk from the beach, with a beach lift, shops and restaurants, so in a great position. There is the added bonus of a car parking space at the back of the building and there is a lift if needed to the apartment, which is on the first floor. We caught a bus, less than a 10 minute walk away, to visit Ramsgate and Margate, but in my opinion, Broadstairs is so much nicer. A lovely little town. Hide

A lovely comfortable flat in a great location with views over Viking Bay. Loved having breakfast on the balcony looking at the beach. The parking place which comes with the flat is a big bonus. The building was quiet and the bedrooms situated at the rear of the property so didn't hear any traffic or other noise. Had nice meals out at Tartar FrigateRead more and Samworth and Mee restaurants. Good local walks and interesting sightseeing at Dover Castle and Canterbury. Would definitely return. Hide

A lovely flat in a great locaion with wonderful views. It was also well equipped, comfortable and clean. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby - we liked The Little Sicilian at the top of Oscar Road. Fantastic flat in a prime location, plus a parking space, which is rare in this area & a lift to the accommodation which really did help us as I have a mobility problem. The apartment is spacious, airey & very clean, with all the appliances you would need. We loved getting up in the morning & having our breakfast on the balcony with fantastic sea vRead moreiews. I think the best location in Broadstairs, probably Kent. Great place, handy for everything especially restaurants and beach. Perfect to have own parking.
