Stannard Cottage is a traditional cottage nestled in the heart of the popular seaside town of Southwold. Close to both the high street and the beach this really is the perfect base for your self-catering holiday. The cottage has been tastefully and thoughtfully furnished throughout by the homeowners. The lounge has a real cosy and comfortable feel with a wood burner perfect to cosy up in front of during the cold winter months. The well equipped kitchen boasts a Rayburn oven and large dining table and chairs, ideal for guests to enjoy the full self-catering experience. On a warm summers day you can pop open the doors to the courtyard area providing even more space and seating for everyone to gather together. Going upstairs the property offers three bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a king size bed with a television which provides an added luxury. A door leads to the En-suite shower room, complete with shower cubicle. The second bedroom has a real cosy feel with a double bed and the third offers a single bed. The main bathroom also situated on the first floor has a welcoming bath offering versatility for all guests. Shops: 100 yards Pubs: 50 yards.

Southwold South Green - Properties here enjoy one of the best locations in town. The properties are within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The popular Red Lion Inn overlooking South Green is even closer.

A lovely place to stay, clean and uncluttered. Stairs are steep but grab handles were good and we didnt have a problem. Nice log burner and Rayburn. A lovely seaside feel in the decor and pictures. Very near the town and sea - great location. Be aware the on-street parking isnt infront of the cottage -there is a no waiting zone 8-6 - you have to fRead moreind somewhere nearby to park which is a bit of a pain. A good stay, a good last minute find in an untypically summers week in April. Hide

Stannard Cottage is perfectly located and wonderfully comfy, we really enjoyed our stay. Care needs to be taken on the stairs but we all managed to negotiate them safely, even a 70 year old with bad knees. The only hiccup was the heating not coming on but a quick phone call and the maintenance man arrived within the hour, and all it needed was a quRead moreick reset on the boiler. Hide

We loved Stannard Cottage. The appliances were fantastic, and it is a beautifully laid out cottage. We were worried about the stairs but actually they are fine as the owners have placed the bannisters very carefully. The location is perfect and the welcome pack was lovely. This is a lovely, cosy and well layed out cottage in the perfect location in Southwold; right off the green and very close walk to the beautiful sand dune end of the beach, where dogs are allowed to play. We love that we can park the car on arrival and not have to get back in until we leave, as fantastic shops, restaurants and pubs just a few minutRead morees' walk. The three bedrooms are perfect for a family with two teenage kids so they have their own space, and wonderful to have a good sized kitchen table and courtyard for meals together. Just watch out for the incredibly steep staircase with a low door which cannot be navigated at pace! Overall we love it and will be back. Hide

Fabulous cottage, photos dont do it justice. Have stayed in other locations around Southwold but this was both central and quiet. Loved that we could lock the TV away. The second bedroom, double has limited head height, our teen bumped his head numerous times, could be more of an issue if two people in the room. Great having an ensuite and downstaiRead morers toilet. Rayburn took a bit of getting used to cooking on but instructions were clear and helpful and it was great!
