South Street Farm is close to the beating heart of thriving Braunton. This delightful home blends contemporary decor with many of the original farmhouse features. There is a roomy open plan living area in three distinct parts including a spacious dining area, fully equipped kitchen and cosy lounge with an attractive woodburner. Two separate staircases lead up to the three first floor bedrooms, which are served by two bathrooms, one featuring a stylish claw-footed, double-ended bath. There is a fully enclosed drive alongside the cottage with parking for two cars and a seating area with patio furniture for al fresco dining. A portion of the garage is available for bike storage.

Braunton has a variety of restaurants, pubs, cafes and shops. It is also home to the Braunton and District Museum, the Braunton Countryside Centre and the Museum of British Surfing. At the heart of what is said to be England's most biodiverse parish, Braunton Burrows is abundant with richly varied wildlife. First-time visitors to the Burrows are amazed by the scale of the sand dunes that gives them their name. The Tarka Trail, a footpath and cycle trail built along the route of the old railway line, runs through Braunton. A short drive takes you to Croyde, where the beach is rated as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. There is an RNLI lifeguard service available every day from May to September, during the Easter weekend, every weekend in October and during the October half term. If you like rock pooling, head to each end of the beach. And for walkers, there are several footpaths around the village and up to Baggy Point where you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view. This whole area is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Croyde has plenty of places to hire wet suits, surf boards, canoes and fishing equipment

We had a great week, lovely accommodation and well equipped with a choice of a shower with toilet, bath with toilet and a downstairs toilet! The location being so close to the centre of Braunton is brilliant, all amenities are very easily walkable and having off road driveway parking for 2 cars in a village noted for parking difficulties is a massiRead moreve bonus. I will definitely be booking this location again for our next visit as we are regular visitors to the village due to some immediate family living there. Highly recommended. Hide

Well designed modernisation and beautifully equipped. But ground floor is a very cold space in winter months. At time of permitted arrival heating had been programmed to switch off for 5 of the previous 7 hours. The log fire is good local heat once we went out to buy matches and figured out how to use it. But it does little to get the whole spaceRead more warm Hide

Walking in through the front door was like walking into a tardis. So light and roomy. Still held its character from the 1800 c with the brick work and samples of wallpaper and refurbish photos. We loved our stay at South Street Farm in beautiful Braunton. The house is perfectly located, within easy walking distance of all the local shops/pubs/cafes and only a short drive to Saunton and Croyde beaches. We were very comfortable during our stay and will happily come back as soon as we can.

We had an amazing stay at South Street Farm! The house is very well located - within a very short walking distance of shops, cafes, restaurants, fish & chip shops and bars. Great for kids as there is a park in walking distance as well as a soft play - just in case of rainy days! Amazing to stay in a holiday house with sharp cooking knives and loads of childrens cutlery, crockery etc. Lots of books for all ages too, even bath toys! We will certainly be back. Hide
