'The Secret Garden Cottage' is situated on the East side of town, off Whitby's famous cobbled 'Church Street'. In an elevated position with the real rare bonus of an enclosed garden - ideal for dogs and kids. Tucked away from the hussle and bussle of the town but within easy reach of all Whitby has to offer. This makes it an ideal base for family holidays. The property is comfortably furnished  and has a modern feel throughout.

Please note there are 25 steps lead up to the property, Enclosed yard to the front of the property.

GROUND FLOOR:
Kitchen /Diner: Dining table and chairs, chest of drawers. Flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. Electric oven and grill. Dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine.
Bathroom: Shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin.

FIRST FLOOR:
Lounge: Flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player, iPod Radial/speaker dock. Door leading to enclosed garden with patio area.
Bedroom 1: King size bed which can be requested to be set up as two single beds upon request. Bedside tables and built in wardrobes.

SECOND FLOOR:
Bedroom 2: Double bed and bedside drawers. Built in wardrobes and  chest of drawers.

Garden: Large enclosed garden with patio area and picnic table.
Pets: Two well behaved pets welcome.
Parking:Scratchcards are provided for on street parking within the designated zones on the West Cliff 15-20 minutes walk away.This is on a first come first served basis.
Heating: Gas central heating.
Short breaks: Not accepted during peak weeks.
Notes: Towels are provided. Travel cot and high chair available on request. A welcome pack is set for your arrival. Wi-Fi.

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location. The cottage has everything you need. The garden is a huge bonus. Highly recommended.

The Secret Garden is a beautiful, very clean and well-maintained cottage with a lovely garden space - most unexpected on that side of Whitby! The welcome pack was lovely, and Ill definitely bring my dog next time as its clear the owners are big dog lovers and had thought of everything. The main bedroom in particular is beautiful and I loved the velRead moreux windows. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need, but perhaps dont choose this cottage if you dont like stairs, as its a long way to go up and down to the loo at night! Other than that, I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it and look forward go visiting again. Hide

Absolutely fabulous cottage, has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Well stocked kitchen if you like to cook, comfortable furniture and beds. Loads of comfy throws, heating is great. Garden is fabulous for dogs and humans alike. Right in centre of all the action but so quiet as away from the crowds. Perfect place and lovely welcome pack.

This was an exceptional find hidden up the stairs in an alleyway with a proper garden. Cant fault anything. It was exceptionally clean and tidy and the dogs loved it

This cottage was delightfully charming and characterful. It had everything you could possibly need, so much thought has gone into the guests comfort including the four legged guests! The dogs loved roaming around the secure garden although my very small dog did manage to fit through railings at one point above the street below so dont leave any smaRead morell dogs unattended! The situation of the cottage was also fantastic, right in the midst of the old town with cobbled streets and lovely little shops and a small outdoor market. Minutes walk from the harbour and the 199 steps to the abbey. Definitely recommend! Hide

Beautiful house. Very well equipped. Absolutely lovely garden which was the highlight for our dogs, safe and secure in the Secret Garden. Will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our holiday very much the garden is great for the dogs the location of the cottage could not be better for shops restaurants pubs beach and the parking was ok we parked up and didnt us the car all week we will be back very soon

Absolutely loved our stay in The Secret Garden. The garden itself was great, very secure and our 3 dogs loved running around and chasing the occasional seagull! Lots of space inside the house itself and quiet during our stay in early June. Well located for restaurants, pubs and all the amazing attractions Whitby has to offer. The parking in Whitby Read moretakes a bit of getting used to but we had no bother at all once we found a map of the designated parking zones. We will happily stay here again on our next visit to Whitby . Hide

We had a perfect stay at The Secret Garden We will definitely return We holiday in Whitby at least twice a year with our dogs and have stayed in lots of cottages , this was by far the best The garden was amazing and made our stay so relaxing Cant wait to rebook

Such a beautiful cottage, stunning location, really close to all of the amenities of Whitby. Having a garden with the dogs was an absolute bonus and just made life so much easier. Very well equipt cottage with everything we needed for a fabulous break away. only issue was the wifi wasn't working properly when we arrived, but we soon worked out tRead morehat it was sitting to low on the window sill and wasn't getting a full signal, as soon as we lifted the box up on to the top of the window it worked perfectly. Really comfy bed and the fact there were dogs beds laid out for us was a beautiful touch. They really had thought of everything. Hide

Cottage was absolutely lovely, really enjoyed our stay fantastic garden only one thing I would suggest is a mattress, topper or even new mattresses on the king size bed in the smallest bedroom it wasnt uncomfortable, but just needed that little bit more to give it perfect comfort other than that everything was perfect
