Its a fantastic choice for those looking for a countryside get away which is also close to the coast. Easy walks from the front door along grass tracks across connecting farms- Hares galore. If you are looking for something a little more energetic, the Lodge also connects to the National Cycles Network and Sandling walks.
3 minute drive away sits the village of Bramfield (0.7 miles) the thriving village has a local butchers/village shop- KW Clarke. As well as a busy pub, The Queens Head which is open 7 days a week serving excellent food. Between Aldeburgh (15 miles) and Snape (12 miles) you will be spoilt for choice for year-round world-class concerts, opera and ballet. Bramfield is an attractive village surrounded by open countryside, rich pasture land on one side and Sandlings common on the other, running towards the coast. Gorse and heather create a perfect habitat for a number of rare ground nesting birds, colourful butterflies and excellent grazing for deer. The Lodge is just a few miles from Halesworth, a small market town with a traditional Wednesday market as well as Dunwich, Minsmere, Walberswick and Southwold, this is an area of wide skies and breath-taking landscapes. Walkers, cyclists and bird watchers will be in their element. Theatre lovers should check out the open air theatre at Thorington (3.5 miles) where you will be able to find a range of entertainment.
Inside, the sitting room is perfect for relaxing in, with two large sofas and an easy chair, a lovely spot to enjoy the garden. There are games and books in the cupboard and French doors leading to the garden. The open-plan kitchen and dining room provides ample space for preparing food and entertaining. Also on the ground floor is the Super King/ Twin bedroom accompanied by an en-suite wet room as well as King Size Bedroom with a separate walk in shower and WC. All bedrooms have garden views.
The terrace outside the French doors is ideal for dining alfresco either in the sun or in the shade of the sun umbrella. The terrace leads onto the lawn area which is surrounded by trees and shrubs and would be perfect for relaxing or for children to play on. The area is rich in wildlife so you might spot deer, rare birds and butterflies.
All in all, a rural retreat suitable for those with mobility problems and a delight for anyone wanting to experience life on a farm.
