This charming and beautifully renovated cottage is situated under West Cliff on a quiet, pleasant street, just a short stroll from the harbour side. The property offers nearby free parking and spectacular views from a spacious roof terrace with table and chairs. This gorgeous property retains many original features such as timber floors and original fireplaces. A wonderful family house for a luxurious stay in central Whitby.

Whitby
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. For a different day out, why not climb the famous 199 steps to reach the ruins of Whitby Abbey. It's said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stokers Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town.

Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch. There's always something happening throughout the town , and festivals and fairs are held throughout the year including Whitby Goth Festival, Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta.

Good location for central Whitby, good having the parking permit for local car park. Great decor in cottage. Nice having a balcony that overlooks the sea and Abbey etc.

Had an amazing stay! What a wonderful cosy cottage with a fabulous view across Whitby. Very comfortable and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.

This is our third year at Coral Cottage and we loved it, as always. Beautiful cottage, great location, wonderful terrace with fantastic views. Clean and well equipped. A pleasure to stay.

We had a lovely week staying at this gorgeous cottage. Very comfortable and homely. Very tastefully decorated and furnished. A superb location with the roof terrace facing the Abbey. Sea views from both bedrooms. Everything you might need but no clutter! Personal communication with the owner. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here.

Nice, cosy, clean and comfortable. Expectations met and I'd say exceeded from what was advertised. Would definitely recommend and if we decide to revisit Whitby then would look at staying here again. Location was very convenient, close enough to the front and far enough away that we could enjoy the peace and quiet

Lovely cottage in an excellent location just up from the harbour front. The balcony was fantastic with an amazing view. Parking wasnt an issue. We parked in West Cliff car park at 5pm on the Saturday of the August Bank Holiday, using the parking permit provided. Beds were very comfortable.

We absolutely loved our stay at Coral Cottage and would love to return next year. Perfect location and lovely views from the roof terrace. Well equipped and very good working kitchen, we made some lovely meals and was great having an hot oven that many other rentals we have stayed at fail in!

The cottage is well presented and the icing on the cake is the roof terrace, each day took advantage off this, sat having coffee or a drink on each of the days we stayed. No complaints at all about the Coral Cottage what so ever, all good. Recommend the Trenchers Restaurant over the bridge for fish and chips ( unbelievable) also recommend The FoRead moreur Seasons for a good meal, restaurant also over the bridge Hide

Quirky clean cottage with sloping floors and lots of winding stairs! Be aware bathroom is on second floor and there is quite a step onto the roof terrace from the main bedroom on the top floor. Nice cottage but tired and grubby furnishings spoilt it for us!

Wonderful stay at Coral Cottage with our friends. Cottage had everything we needed, it was just perfect, very cozy and comfortable. Great location to get around Whitby, the car permit was a bonus too. The view from the bedroom and balcony was amazing to wake up to with the sea and the Abbey. We all loved our stay and would recommend to our friends Read moreand family. Next time we are in Whitby we will definitely book again, loved it. Hide

We had a brilliant stay at this cottage! It was spotlessly clean, had all the equipment you could need and was decorated in a really lovely way with lots of interesting things to look at and beautiful artwork everywhere. The cottage also has a terrace on the top floor which was accessed from the bedroom. It's a great addition to sit and relax and tRead moreake in the fantastic view of Whitby and the Abbey. On arrival there was a welcome hamper with wine, biscuits, coffee etc and milk in the fridge. This was a really lovely touch. The location of the cottage is also great - 2 minute walk from the harbour! We hired bikes one day from a company called Bayhire based in Scarborough. They delivered the bikes to the start of the Cinder track in Whitby and from there you can cycle to Robin Hoods Bay or even Scarborough if you're feeling fit enough! We ate at Trenchers fish and chip restaurant and The Vault, both were great. We will definitely stay at this cottage again, it was perfect! Hide

We love Coral Cottage - it's our second visit in November and we've just booked for a third. Its position is perfect, close to town but so quiet! It's nicely furnished with personal touches, and has everything you need in the kitchen. The crowning glory for us though is the upstairs terrace with views of harbour and abbey; great for a glass of wineRead more before dinner or a mug of tea in the morning! A couple of practical points - there's a vertically split front door and very narrow hall, and two flights of curving wooden stairs to the top floor, so those with mobility problems might find it challenging. It would also be hard to sit round the kitchen table if there were four people. But for us it is just perfect, a home from home in one of our favourite towns. Hide

Coral cottage was a great holiday cottage. It was comfortably furnished, with a well stocked kitchen! It also has the best views from its roof balcony. A lovely escape for the week.

A perfect holiday property. The minor reduction is just because we would ideally have liked a washer dryer as it rained for much of the week and we couldn't easily dry laundry.
