Oswald's Cottage is a delightful pet-friendly end-terraced cottage, extended and renovated to provide a stylish holiday property in the village of Dinas Mawddwy, surrounded by wonderful mountain scenery on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. A great base for keen walkers and climbers, and an ideal location for touring south Snowdonia’s mountains, lakes and coastline.

This deceptively spacious cottage has central heating throughout, logs provided and WiFi included, along with an excellent range of other equipment and facilities for a relaxing stay.

  • "Such a gorgeous cottage. Perfect for two couples and a dog. Lots of space, log fires were amazing and great walking advice."

Entrance Hall: with staircase to the first floor, coat hooks.

Staircase: is quite narrow, and splits at the top, with some angled steps. To the right is one double bedroom, with bathroom and second bedroom off to the left. Landing with original feature (non functioning) cast iron fireplace.

Bedroom 1: Double, with original oak floorboards and original cast iron fireplace (non-functioning). Brass bed, integrated fitted hanging space and bedside tables.

Bathroom: spacious family bathroom with basin, WC, bath with hand shower attachment and a separate large shower cubicle with dual shower heads. Chest of drawers for storage.

Outside: To the rear of the property is an outhouse providing storage for bikes etc, and a wood store - logs are provided for the wood burner and open fire. To the side of the property is a steeply sloping, rough natural garden, which extends round to the back, above the roof of the outhouse, so young children and pets will need to be supervised.

Parking: is on street, usually possible directly to the front of the cottage.

  • "Lovely, well equipped cottage perfect for exploring the surrounding area."

The cottage is warm and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen. Ideally placed for exploring the area which has lots of interesting walks and ancient sites. for a small village it has excellent eateries although shopping needs to be in the nearby larger towns. We loved our stay here.

The cottage was very cosy and well equipped with typical necessities (e.g. barbecue, beach toys, fast internet and DVDs). We enjoyed it as a good base from which to explore the local area as well as to venture further across Wales to Snowdon, beaches and forests. Would highly recommend it.

The kitchen equipment was extremely well equipped. The house was warm and a real fire was lovely. Its a quiet peaceful location set in beautiful surroundings. It is great for the walks nearby and there was good cleaning equipment and facilities such as an iron. It was a lovely cosy cottage and would like to stay there again.
