 A truly delightful, modern ground floor apartment. Secure entry and undercroft parking make it a haven of peace and comfort only a five minutes easy walk from the historic Whitby town centre, cobbled streets, harbour and all its amenities, bus and train stations. An excellent base from which to explore Whitby and the surrounding area.

Twelve steps lead up from the electronic gate to the entrance. Light and airy lobby.

Lounge/Kitchen/Diner: Larder fridge/freezer, ceramic hob with electric oven/grill, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, waste disposal. Flatscreen TV, Freesat, DVD, radio/CD player. Dining table and chairs.
Bedroom 1: King-size bed, built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers with flat screen TV.
Bedroom 2: 2 single beds with wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Bathroom: Walk in shower, toilet,washbasin., toilet and washbasin.

Pets: Sorry, no pets.
Garden: French windows lead from bedroom 1 to a private patio with table and chairs.
Parking: Private parking for one car in undercroft height limit of 2.1m.
Heating: Modern electric heaters.
Short breaks: Not accepted at peak times.

Notes: Towels and hairdryers are provided. Because of the proximity of Sanderling apartment ref W740, a party of up to eight  people could use them for a gathering of family and friends.

Whitby
Whitby is a popular choice for visitors all year round. It is well known for its long sandy beach and delicious seafood. For a different day out, why not climb the famous 199 steps to reach the ruins of Whitby Abbey. It's said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stokers Count Dracula, and its gothic splendour is the perfect place from which to take in some truly stunning views over the town.

Whitby harbour is steeped in history and visitors can see where British explorer Captain James Cook first worked as an apprentice before setting sail and discovering Australia. The harbour is a buzz of activity and you can enjoy early mornings watching the fishing boats come ashore before getting first choice of their catch. There's always something happening throughout the town , and festivals and fairs are held throughout the year including Whitby Goth Festival, Whitby Folk Week and the Whitby Regatta.

The location is just a short walk from the town centre. The added bonus is the parking safe and secure. Plenty of crockery, cutlery and utensils plus dish washer and washing machine. Everything you need is here.

Driftwood had everything we needed for our stay in Whitby. Great location, very quiet and an easy walk to the harbour, shops, cafes, restaurants, bus stops and places of interest. The apartment was absolutely perfect for our week away for Halloween and to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. The apartment was clean, cosy and very well equipped. I was also very pleased to have a personal email from the owner telling us about directions and how to access the underground carpark. Having that carpark was a game changer as WhitbRead morey is very busy during the day so we didn't have the hassle in looking for someplace to park the car. The beds in the apartment were so comfy and it was also really lovely to have a small outside space to sit to enjoy a cup of tea. The apartment was literally a two minute walk away from Whitby Harbour so it was accessible for every aspect of the town centre. We had a fantastic week and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great place in Whitby to stay at the Driftwood apartment. Thank you for a wonderful time. Great apartment. Very near to harbour. Easy walk to all whitby has to offer. Lovely and warm, did not even need heating on in Oct. Bonus of having a car parking space .

A little gem of a place. Quiet location, but close, easy walking distance to town centre, either down some steps or down the slight hill. A real bonus was secure underground parking. I highly recommend this place, it's clean and comfortable, it will be the first place I would try to book if I come back to whitby

We enjoyed our stay at Driftwood. The property was very clean and met our needs perfectly. The information on the website was very accurate and the instructions for access to the car parking and property were excellent. It is situated very close to the station and also shops, restaurants and other entertainment. Parking was easy and very secure in Read morethe underground parking area. We really enjoyed staying in this property - it has everything that you need and is really comfortable. It is in a quiet location but still within walking distance of everything you need.The only downside is that the wifi was not very strong but I understand that is an issue throughout the town.

Lovely property, the location is ideal only being 5 minutes walk away from Whitby Harbour and the private parking is a huge bonus. The property itself was clean and well-equipped and the property owner was lovely and a pleasure to deal with. We have stayed in this property a few times and will definitely be back.

property was fine, good location and clean. one or two disappointments - lack of any sort of welcome tray (not even a small carton of milk), wifi was unobtainable, and the cd/radio would not accept cd's.
