Located in the ever popular village of Bainbridge, Newkin House is a traditional stone cottage which has recently been refurbished to a high standard and provides very comfortable accommodation for families and couples alike. With lots of original features including beamed ceilings, latched doors, wooden window shutters and oak floors there is plenty of character and charm. The lounge, with a large leather sofa and velvet chair is perfect for relaxing in after a day exploring the Dales, and the multi-fuel stove will warm any cooler evening for those cosy nights in. The kitchen diner is of very good quality and provides a superb social space when cooking and dining, or you may choose to make the most of the patio space outdoors. Upstairs, the bedrooms and contemporary bathroom provide a good level of comfort.
Bainbridge, in the middle of picturesque Wensleydale, is one of the favourite villages of visitors to the Yorkshire Dales. The wide village greens, children's play area and local cafe opposite, enjoy a backdrop of the fells making this one of the prettiest villages. Basic supplies are available at the small village store in Sycamore Hall whilst a variety of shops can be found just four and a half miles away. The market towns of Hawes and Leyburn lie at either end of Wensleydale and the area is wonderful for walking, cycling and simply enjoying the stunning scenery.
