This cottage is the first floor of a former granary attached to the owner's 16th Century farmhouse. Located on a working sheep and beef farm of 300 acres and surrounded by peaceful countryside. Llanilar 3 miles, Aberystwyth 8 miles.

The Granary has an open-plan living room/kitchen with dining table and chairs, electric fire, TV and DVD. Double bedroom with an en suite built-in shower, WC and basin. Twin bedroom only suitable for children as it is found in the attic, therefore there is limited headroom due to the sloping ceilings. Use of utility room with guests own section of a freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer. Oil-fired central heating off owner's system.

Outside is a patio area with table and chairs. Supervised children welcome to look around the farm and the animals. Local walking and birdwatching. Attractions such as Devil's Bridge, Vale of Rheidol narrow gauge railway and Cors Caron Nature Reserve. Pub and shop in Llanilar, with further shops, pubs and restaurants in the university town of Aberystwyth. Beaches at Aberystwyth and Llanrhystud.

We enjoyed our stay but we were somewhat roughing it. I would definitely not recommend smaller bedroom for adults due to sloping ceiling. Owner and family very friendly and welcoming.

Comfortable and a great location. Is the flat upstairs, not the whole property and only bathroom for the property is the en suite. Loved bottle feeding the lambs, was a real bonus.
