Wayfarers Cottage is a very pleasant converted stable, which retains many original features. It is located next to a small wooded area on the owner's working farm, with access on request to their one acre attractive garden, which is home to waterfowl and free-roaming peafowl (dogs also welcome however must be leashed). It provides very comfortable, attractively furnished accommodation, which is all on one level, making it suitable for the less able. Shop: 1 mile Pub: 3 miles

Mattishall lies in the very heart of Norfolk, central to many of the county's attractions. There are a number of footpaths in the area with both fishing and golf available within four miles of the village. The market town of Dereham is five miles away and offers a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs as well as having a cinema and a sports centre. Mattishall itself has village shops.

Really nice and spacious cottage. Excellent bathroom and well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Nice location. The wild fowl living close by are good neighbours but a little noisy early in the morning

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. It was very welcoming and thoughtfully equipped. The cottage is centrally situated for you explore many of the wonderful places to see in Norfolk.

A delightful cottage in glorious surroundings and situated on a working farm . The bird life is amazing . The owners Wendy and John are charming and helpful.

A peaceful and private hideaway in the country. I like that the owners are close by to help if needed but are respectful about your privacy. This is a little haven for my dogs and me, away from the madding crowds, a place I will definitely return to.

Spent a very enjoyable and comfortable week here. The cottage has everything you might need and is a great base for exploring Norfolk. The bird life at the cottage is wonderful. Good local walks for our young border collie. Easy parking. Great hosts.

I find the accomodation and area very peaceful and relaxing. Wendy & John are lovely people and will be available if needed. Lovely welcome on arrival. Love watching the birds on the the bird table. A really well equipped cottage with everything you would need in a lovely location. Very easy to get to a range of places including the coast. Very clean and comfortable cottage. I really enjoyed my stay .

The cottage was lovely and warm and inviting with ample area to park immediately outside the front door. The property was well presented, clean and tidy. The walk in double shower in the bathroom was fabulous and very easy to use. The bedroom was spacious with lots of cupboard and draw space. The kitchen had just about everything we needed and therRead moree was lots of space for food stuffs, not that we needed much. There was a washing machine if needed and a good separate freezer. Hide

Perfect location and set-up for a rural holiday with two dogs. Cottage spotless and dog friendly, in the centre of a lovely network of footpaths across the fields. Owners lovely; very friendly and considerate. I am looking forward to coming back.

Excellent accommodation and location, quiet, peaceful yet not too rural. Owners are lovely, very helpful. Property had everything you could possibly need. Safe outdoor seating a bonus for us and our spaniel. Grateful for the welcome pack of milk , flowers and chocolate biscuits.

2nd time here with Wendy & John. Fabulous stay and really enjoyed it. Very welcoming. Looking forward to booking next year too. Lovely and central for all of Norfolk.
