Merlins Roost is truly consumed by the stunning sea views of the Tintagel coast and is set in an ideal location for a perfect holiday for anyone seeking some relaxation, stunning views and excellent scenery.  The unique location combines the rugged beauty of the coast with an area steeped in ancient legend and mystery - an exciting place to be for anyone interested in King Arthur and the history surrounding the castle, as well as anyone just wanting some fresh air and breathtaking views.  The balcony, lounge and bedroom both look seaward, with direct view of the world famous Tintagel Castle, you literally feel like you are part of the ancient site. With views of the sea beyond as well providing relaxing vistas to enjoy all day.  This comfortable apartment is within easy walking distance of the centre of Tintagel with its restaurants, pubs and shops, and the South West Coast Path, only a minute's walk away, provides innumerable walking opportunities.  The beach at Trebarwith Strand and the nearby village of Boscastle are only a 10 minute drive with other beaches, houses and gardens and the Eden Project all less than an hour.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable with the added bonus of an extra king size bed. There were amazing views of the coast and ideally placed for walking the coastal path and also into the village.

This is our second visit to Merlins Roost. The location is amazing with beautiful scenery all round. There are plenty of walks. Barass Nose. Tintagel Castle. The Old post office and King Arthurs Halls in the village good. Boscastle a short drive away. Village has plenty of eateries. We will definitely revisit Merlins Roost again. What an amazing place. Owners met us on arrival, gave us the tour, so we knew how to operate most things. They were more than accommodating if we did have a question.. perfect landlords The apartment was clean, beautifully presented & had everything we needed for our stay Then, there was the view... oh my! Even if you've stayed no where else iRead moren Cornwall.. don't have a clue about the village or the mythical history around the place.. I can't see anyone who wouldn't have their mind blown by the vista from the best balcony in ALL of Cornwall We have stayed in plenty of places around Cornwall & know the North Coast well, but this takes the biscuit by a mile Location, facilities & the warmth of welcome from Trevor & Maggie... we will be back Meur ras (look that one up) Love & light to all who choose to stay at Merlin's Roost Hide

The owners were very obliging and friendly. Flat was very comfy and had everything to make the stay a good experience. We will never forget the wonderful sea views while lying in that gigantic bed.

A great cottage in a great location. The cottage is very comfy and the balcony is 2nd to none with views over the horizon and towards the castle. Very friendly hosts, always available to assist. It is in a perfect place to relax, for walking (Camel Trail / Coastal Path) and as a base to visit local towns such as Padstow, Bude and Boscastle.

Fantastic location with wonderful views of Tintagel castle and the ocean. So many walks around the local coastline, some more rugged than others, so plenty of exercise to be had. Very comfortable and clean with a spacious terrace, perfect for summers evenings. Very private, with on site parking.

The cottage was amazing with amazing views. Mr Sleep was friendly and welcoming. Suggested a few things to do which didn't disappoint. Only trouble was we had to leave early without a goodbye.
