Within a 3 minute walk you and your family can be walking along the golden half mile stretch of sand at Croyde beach watching the evening surfers or taking a quiet morning dip ahead of the crowds.
The property offers a prime location for surfers, bodyboarders and kayakers. Beach equipment and surf lessons are available to book nearby.
For walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers and explorers there is no better position as Beach Cottage also lies next to the Southwest Coast Path with Baggy Point a short distance away and providing some of the best and most spectacular National Trust trails, cycle routes and views to Lundy in North Devon. Don’t forget to fit in a well earned Devon Cream Tea on the journey back though!
For the less energetic, you can also simply wander by foot with the children and dog through the dunes and along the numerous charming sandy paths in and around the village of Croyde where in a short distance you can be in the centre with its small shops and family friendly pubs and its numerous and various restaurants and cafes and pop up bars.
Entering through the front gate from the parking area you emerge into a small, private, well maintained garden, this give you access to the front door which leads into the spacious accommodation. Leading off from the hall the good size, well equipped kitchen is light and airy with feature wall, plenty of storage and useful work space. The kitchen leads through to a versatile utility room containing laundry facilities, however additional attention to detail continues with the provision of wooden racks for storing and drying surfing equipment.
The spacious, attractive living room with large sofas and separate chair all surrounding the large coffee table, provides a comfy space for the family to get together. A beautiful bay window allows light to flood in whilst giving views out to the garden.
Stairs from the hallway lead up to 3 bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor. A large frosted window floods the staircase and landing with natural light – reflecting off the quirky glass lampshades! spacious landing.
Bedroom 1 with king size bed, and with views towards sea and dunes. Bedroom 2 is featured as a twin but with zip ‘n’ link facility to super-king on request. Bedroom 3 is also a twin. Each bedroom has a wardrobe and draws to store your belongings. You have a spacious family bathroom. Here you will find a shower over the roomy double ended bath with glass shower screen, large wash basin and WC.
Outside the raised decked area is an ideal suntrap and provides a relaxing environment with sun loungers and patio furniture to enjoy alfresco meals, built-in barbecue, combine to make this a great space to socialise with family and friends after a day on the beach. A handy outdoor cold shower is perfect for rinsing off surfboards and sandy toes.
