Highview is a good choice for families or couples who like a little bit of peace and quiet, but want to be close to the shops, restaurants, pubs and beach in Woolacombe. Elevated on the outskirts of the village, this detached bungalow has a lovely large garden, a separate lounge, kitchen and dining room, plenty of off-road parking and a conservatory. From the drive, 20 steps take you to the front door, then the accommodation is all on one level thereafter. The living room has superb views over Woolacombe towards the award-winning beach and comfy sofas to relax in after a busy day exploring North Devon. The well-equipped kitchen has modern white units, an electric oven with a gas hob, as well as a microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and slimline dishwasher. This leads into a small conservatory which is heated throughout the year. The two pretty bedrooms share the use of the bathroom, which has a separate toilet. Outside, at the back of the property is an outdoor hot and cold shower and a separate place to wash and hang up wetsuits. The rear garden has a raised patio with stunning views and there is a sloping lawn area and there is an additonal patio at the front of the property. Guests also get to use the garage for securely storing outdoor equipment.

Highview is a short walk to Woolacombe Beach which lies between Morte Point and Baggy Point. This three-mile long stretch of golden sand is renowned for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities. Lifeguards ensure safe swimming during the summer and surfers come from all over the country to enjoy the great waves and clean water. The beach has been voted the number 1 beach in the UK by Tripadvisor in 2015 & 2016. It also holds the ‘England for Excellence Gold Award’ for best family resort and was voted the Best British Beach in the Mail On Sunday.

We had a great time at this property, it is very comfortable, well equipped and has a wonderful view of the bay. Outdoor space to sit at the front or the rear of the property, both of which we made use of as we were very fortunate to have beautiful weather. The walk up and down the hill to the town is a bit of a drag but this certainly wouldn't stoRead morep us booking this property again, we found a bit of a shortcut using steps rather than the slope which seemed easier. Had the most amazing stay. The views are second to none and great for the soul, the workout up the hill everyday was good for the body.. very comfortable and well equipped place to call home for the week.

A great location with stunning views from the bedroom, lounge and dining area with a large patio at the front to also soak up the views. The kitchen had everything we needed and overall we had a very comfortable stay. The outside shower being warm for those rinses when back from the beach was a nice surprise, and thoughtful touches to have somewherRead moree to be able to rinse and hang wet suits and a garage to store things in also very handy. I quite enjoyed watching my girls get fitter over the course of the week with the 10 minute walk back up a steep hill after each venture to the beach :) The views at the top along with everything Woolacombe has to offer never led them to complain! Fantastic place to stay. Aside from the most wonderful views from all the front windows and brilliant location the owners have really thought about the people staying at the property and what a holiday maker would need, making for a very pleasurable stay. Chairs at the front and back of the property so you can take a cuppa outside and find the righRead moret place for you morning or afternoon. Large dinning table and selection of chairs in the lounge - well equipped kitchen and place to store your food - very comfy beds with again good space for your clothes and effects - great hot showers - property has plenty of space - not cramped together - well laid out need I say more? Just had a lovely stay at Highview, the views were great, and it was a lovely bright warm home. It was a perfect location to explore the surrounding coastal area which was ideal for some long walks. Woolacombe beach is just magnificent. Hope to return soon.
