Black Cottage is a quaint 300 year old fisherman's cottage painted in traditional Suffolk black with some unique architectural features. This beautifully appointed self-catering cottage is conveniently located on Mill Lane, a picturesque and quiet road in the heart of Southwold, close to The Common and within easy reach of the shops. Southwold's sandy beach is also only 200 yards away. Black Cottage has been tastefully extended and renovated to offer comfortable accommodation for either two couples or a small family. What's more this charming cottage features an open fire, making it lovely and cosy in the colder months. Shop: 50 yards Pub: 100 yards.

Southwold South Green Area - Properties here enjoy one of the best locations in town. South Green leads to Gun Hill and the sea and the properties are within minutes of the market place, with the elegant Swan Hotel, an excellent range of small shops including a greengrocers with fresh local produce, family butcher and delicatessen. The popular Red Lion Inn overlooking South Green is even closer.

This cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The location was perfect and very quiet. We had a wonderful weekend and it would certainly be our first choice cottage when booking again.

The cottage was a great find everything you expect but rarely find in a holiday property which made our stay perfect with the weather smiling on us as well. We will be booking again ASAP

Fabulous footage in a superb location. Easy access to the common, shops and the seafront. Wonderfully equipped kitchen, comfy bed and a powerful shower. Will definitely stay again.

This is a great place for 2 adults to stay, close to the shops, pubs and the town marsh (for super walking to the harbour and coast). Well appointed and cared for, with good kitchen equipment, an excellent bathroom and comfortable beds.
