In the midst of unspoilt open countryside on the Hartland Peninsular the cottage is within easy walking distance of the friendly local thatched inn. Less than a mile from the rocky beach at Welcombe Mouth, spectacular cliff footpaths stretch high above the breaking waves as they wend north towards Hartland Point and south toward Bude and beyond. There are shops, cafes, restaurants and a good surfing beach in Bude which can be reached within 30 minutes by car. Nature lovers will really appreciate this often overlooked corner of North Devon where wild flowers abound and deer can often be seen grazing in the fields. Honeysuckle Cottage is a very comfortable and idyllic countryside haven, ideal for romantics or for those searching for a retreat from the busy world. The cottage is warmed by underfloor heating and decorated with quality furnishings throughout. A pretty beamed and vaulted bedroom has distant sea views and the en-suite has a corner bath and separate walk in shower. Wow! We had a fabulous stay at Honeysuckle cottage. Remote and peaceful but with plenty of places to visit within easy reach. Come prepared as there is nothing within walking distance for a pint of milk or newspaper. The local supermarkets are a good 20/30 minute drive away and you wont want to waste your time on more than one trip when you can beRead more out in all the lovely scenery and places of interest and natural beauty. Try to source a map before you arrive as we were led to believe that maps could be picked up at the pub (no, they dont have them) and the local shop (which doesnt appear to exist). Mobile phone reception is not good so its a bit difficult until you get your bearings, so a map would definitely help. The cottage is very comfortable, especially the bed. You will need to bring a few bits for the kitchen, foil and cling film etc but milk and a few treats are there on arrival for your first much needed cup of tea. Some of the lanes leading to and from the cottage are in a bad way but take it slowly and youll be fine. We are already looking forward to another visit, we loved it! Hide

We had a wonderful holiday there, very restful and peaceful. It is the most beautiful location. The equipment provided was just what was needed. we used the slow cooker quite a lot and it was lovely to come in to a meal ready to eat. We fed the birds every day and on our last day we say a beautiful deer just over the hedge. He stayed for quite a feRead morew minutes. Honeysuckle Cottage is ideally suited to explore the lovely coastline and we spent quite a lot of time at Sandymouth Bay. which has lovely clean sand. Even in the middle of October, we were able to sit on the beach with no wind buffeting us and to have a picnic watching 8 surfers. It was stunning. We would highly recommend the cottage, it is beautiful. Hide

Lovely cottage, so quiet, take some bird food as there are lots of them, also fox, hedgehogs oh and the deer in the next field. You will need to take salt, pepper, oil, and wash tabs. But it is very well equipped even a slow cooker! Bed really comfy. Lovely quiet relaxing week. Easy to visit Bude, Holsworthy and Bideford etc.

Wonderful cottage if youre looking to escape the hustle and bustle but with walks from doorstep including one to a great pub in 10-15 minutes. Prepare to cut off from the world and take full supplies and a good book and youll have a lovely week - we did! If youre looking for somewhere to work locally the A39 hot desk space is 10 minutes drive away.
