Speedwell is located on St James Green and boasts glorious views of the sea from the sitting room and main bedroom. It is a traditional Southwold cottage which has been beautifully modernised. The popular Sole Bay Inn is just around the corner and all other pubs, shops and restaurants are close by. Speedwell offers two en-suite bathrooms to both bedrooms which are ideal for friends holidaying together or small families. On the open plan ground floor you can choose between the sitting room and delightful sun room for a quiet read or for relaxing in after a busy day's sightseeing in Southwold. Speedwell is the ultimate cosy cottage in the heart of this fantastic town. Shop: 50 yards (corner shop) or 200 yards Pub: 50 yards.

Bedroom 2: Double bed and En-Suite Bathroom with bath and overbath shower, washbasin and wc.

Garden: Small south-facing courtyard at rear with garden furniture.

Pets: One well-behaved pet welcome.
Notes: Wi-Fi and towels provided. A security deposit of £150 is required four weeks prior to your holiday.

Southwold Pier Area - It is often said that nothing changes in Southwold. However, the much-acclaimed pier was rebuilt in 2001 and was the first to be constructed in England in over fifty years. It now fits in well with the painted beach huts, promenade and colourful flowerbeds. There is a shop, cafes and an alternative amusement arcade there. The selection of properties' hereabouts makes it an ideal location to stay in Southwold if you require quiet accommodation that is also close to the beach, town centre and the many footpaths across the marshes leading you to the less explored areas of the town.

A very cosy cottage, with the sea less than a minute away. The bedding provided by the owner is exceptionally comfortable-probably the best sleep I have ever had in my staying in many years of hotels or other rented accommodation.

This is a nice comfortable cottage which is well place near the Sole Bay Inn, which offers a warm welcome good beer and delicious food. It is great to have two en suites, but the shower room is snug and might not suit somebody with mobility issues. We were very lucky with parking and managed to park directly outside for the duration of the trip. Read more The kitchen is well supplied with all the equipment needed for holiday catering and basics of a starter supply of tea , coffee , milk and biscuits were supplied. The only thing missing was a small supply of salt. However if you know this you can bring your own. Hide

Stunning location but we had an issue with the front bedroom which smelt of sewerage on arrival and came from the en-suite itself. Kitchen equipment was good but take your own tea towels and cleaning cloths as these were not provided. The dishwasher didnt clean adequately, sadly, so we had to wash up by hand. This was such a shame as with Read morea bit of maintenance this could have been the perfect stay. Hide

The location of this property at the heart of everything - beach/ town / pubs makes this an excellent place to stay. We parked the car on arrival and didnt move it for a week. The cottage was homely, clean and well organised- just what we needed to have a week off!
