The Old Cow Byre is an attractive converted two bedroomed cottage in the heart of the North York Moors National Park. The cottage is very spacious and welcoming and there is a large enclosed garden and private secure parking. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling or driving, with the stunning countryside on your doorstep The Old Cow Byre offers great opportunities to explore this beautiful area. The nearby village of Lealholm is a popular tourist destination, it has a train station, a pub and shops. The coast and the historic seaside town of Whitby are just an easy drive away.

Entrance:  Into a hallway with stairs to the first floor.
Kitchen/Dining Room: Fridge, freezer, electric hob, electric oven and grill, dishwasher, microwave, slow cooker. Dining table and chairs. Door leading out to the garden.
Lounge: TV with DVD player, modern electric fire, comfortable leather sofas and with a coffee table.
Cloakroom: Toilet, washbasin, washing machine.

FIRST FLOOR
Bedroom 1: Double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, built-in cupboards, TV with DVD player.
En-suite: Walk-in shower, washbasin, toilet.
Bedroom 2: Double bed, wardrobe, built-in cupboards.
Bathroom: Bath, toilet, washbasin.

Pets: Sorry, no pets.
Parking: Private secure off-road parking for 2 cars in front of the cottage.

our third time at this cottage and we've loved it each time, Elaine and Gordon are great hosts making sure we had everything we needed, we will certainly be back next year.

What a find this beautiful cottage was. Peaceful location but within an area you could visit popular places of interest. The home was comfortable and cosy with everything you could possibly need provided . Think this is possibly one of the best rental properties around and great value for money. Would thoroughly recommend

Had a wonderful week at The Old Cow Byre. Snow, ice and the cold weather could not possibly detract from what was a fabulous week. I love the area anyway but this place is something else. I would very happily sell up and live there. Elaine and Gordon have created a real home from home and should be very proud of what they have achieved. Read more The location is brilliant. Not far from anywhere but far enough to feel like you have got away from it all. Surrounded by the glorious Yorkshire countryside, plenty of wildlife to keep you company and an immaculate country cottage to call home for a week or two. The coast is close by, as are many picturesque villages and Hamlets on the moors. I shall take great pleasure in recommending The Old Cow Byre and also returning myself. The cottage is in a lovely hamlet with sheep outside the door, it is heady for Whitby and the lovely moors, the cottage is pristine and cosy the owner may sure we were comfy and had everything we needed, they left we some lovely provisions including fresh fruit a lovely touch, we would definitely come back to this cottage in the future.

The cottage was lovely, warm and had everything we needed. The location was excellent, Lealholm is very close but it was easy to travel around the area to other places by car. We met the owners who had some really useful local information. Highly recommend!
