This sweet holiday home is a lovely spot for a solo or couple’s holiday. You’ll be spoiled for choice for things to do nearby – start your day with a pastry and coffee from your neighbours at the artisan bakery (150 metres). A short stroll (0.5 miles) takes you to the beach-hut-lined Summerleaze Beach where the river meets the sea. Or take a dip in Bude Sea Pool, a safe swim spot with no admission fee. You’ll also find surf schools and hire shops nearby if you fancy trying surfing or paddleboarding. The Bude Canal (350 metres) offers towpath walks while the Bude Castle Heritage Centre (500 metres) provides a fascinating glimpse into the town’s past, plus a riverside café. Keen walkers can join the South West Coast Path (500 metres), perhaps heading north to Northcott Mouth Beach (1.5 miles), where a shipwreck appears at low tide.
On arrival, you’ll climb a few steps to reach the private entrance of this holiday abode which is attached to the owner’s property. Downstairs is a handy cloak area for coats and sandy shoes before heading straight into the comfortable king-size bedroom, complete with a Smart TV and a stylish en-suite shower room with WC. The living quarters are up a wooden staircase – a bright, open-plan space with well-equipped kitchen complete with a breakfast bar and a relaxed lounge area. After long days out exploring, sink into the cosy sofa and switch on the Smart TV. Off this space, there’s a second WC for added convenience. The adjoining conservatory-style nook has two comfy seats and peaceful meadow views – just right for a quiet morning coffee or afternoon read.
While there’s no private garden, however there is a bench out the front which creates a sunny perch for enjoying the view. You’ll also have private parking for one car.
