Escape to a beautiful property that enjoys a tranquil rural location in a tiny hamlet at the foot of Dartmoor’s White Tor, offering guests miles of scenic walks right from the front door. Despite its peaceful setting, the property is not completely remote, as the vibrant town of Tavistock is just 4 miles away, boasting a farmers’ market, boutique shops, bistros, pubs, and cafes. Outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to explore, with Dartmoor quite literally on the doorstep and the Devon Cycle Network passing within a mile, providing a route to Plymouth. The Mid Devon location makes it easy to reach both Cornwall’s north and south coasts – visit the charming fishing village of Looe, legendary Tintagel, and the National Trust village of Boscastle. Many more fascinating places are within easy reach, including Buckland Abbey (10 miles), 18th-century Saltram (18.5 miles), and Lydford Gorge (9.5 miles).

This two-storey property is spacious and has a light and airy feel to it. Step into the kitchen/diner where you can take your time cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes and enjoying them around the dining table. Head up two steps to the lounge area and settle in for a snug evening with a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV. Upstairs, you will find a beautiful mezzanine bedroom with a four-poster super-king-size bed and a shower room with WC. Completing the accommodation is a snug area that overlooks the living area; here, you can curl up on the sofa with a really good book.

Outside, there is a small exclusive seating area. Guests also have access to the shared 1-acre garden, with outdoor furniture, which is a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. There is covered bike storage available and off-road parking for one car.

We've visited many places over the past few years and we can say without a doubt that this is our firm favourite! Everything was just perfect, from the welcome cake and milk (much appreciated) to the very last moment of our stay. Bed and sofa were super comfy and the shower was powerful and refreshing. The hosts have thought of every little detail Read morein their creation of a beautiful place to stay. We walked to the local pub twice during our trip and were delighted with the food and service Hide
