This lovely cottage is nestled in the stunning island countryside, providing the perfect location for a real escape. The quaint, thatch-lined village of Godshill (1 mile) is just a short drive away or a walk via the footpath right from the cottage grounds. Godshill boasts many traditional tearooms, independent shops, cafes and restaurants, along with the famous Model Village. Slightly further afield, there are the sandy shores of Ventnor (7 miles), Sandown (7 miles) and Shanklin (5 miles) which all offer the perfect seaside family day out. This cottage is situated in the ideal location for anyone who enjoys outdoor pursuits, with options for gorgeous countryside and coastal walks and well-connected cycle paths across the island. For history lovers, there’s Osborne House (10 miles) and Carisbrooke Castle (5 miles), which are not to be missed. Blackgang Chine (5 miles) and Tapnell Farm (14 miles) are great options to keep the whole family entertained.

Upon entering this quaint cottage, you'll be greeted by the lovely open-plan kitchen/living/dining room. Make yourselves at home at the dining table for four or relax on the comfortable seating arranged around the Smart TV. This space offers the perfect place to enjoy social cooking/dining or curling up and watching a family film after a long day exploring the beautiful island. With its cosy cottage-style decor and its light and airy feel, this room offers everything to suit your holiday needs. Upstairs, you’ll find the first of two rooms, a spacious king-size bedroom with calm and minimalist decor, providing the perfect place to unwind, ready for another day of adventure ahead. There’s also a cosy twin room, and to complete this floor, the family shower room with WC.

Back downstairs and out to the front of this gorgeous holiday home, you’ll find stunning shared grounds with plenty of space for your four-legged friend to roam, along with a BBQ and outdoor furniture for al fresco dining. With livestock in the neighbouring fields and surrounding countryside, this gorgeous cottage offers the perfect rural escape.

Ideally situated in the rural peace of the centre of the island, this is a comfortable, well-equipped place to stay. It is spotlessly clean and there is plenty of storage space. Lovely gardens with places to sit, and very nice Welcome treats!

Superb location ,excellent accommodation, hosts very tentative. Could not of asked for more and will be returning for sure and will be letting all friends and family know. Fantastically equipped cottage. Dave & Wendy

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Oakham Cottage. There was everything we could want provided from cooking equipment (kitchen and barbecue), to a great selection of films, CDs and games. The position is perfect, lovely and quiet with lots of footpaths directly accessible, a short walk over the fields to Godshill which has some great plRead moreaces to eat, and just a short drive to the beach. The owners could not be more friendly and helpful, thanks ever so much for a great holiday! Hide
