A lovely house in a superb position. Loved the easy access to the canal along a grassy path. And the views from the main bedroom upstairs - we saw deer in the field on our last morning. Best thing was a barn owl which came and perched on our fence every night and morning, and could be seen flying over the fields and canal. Lovely walk into Devises,Read more and the other way along the towpath. Great cafe on the canal. Supplies were minimal - but ha everything for first night. Ideal house for elderly mum. Hide

I had a four night stay with 4 young adults, and a couple of relatives visited for the day taking our total number to 6 during 2 of the days. There was plenty of room for everyone, both in the lounge and around the dining table. The large kitchen had everything that I needed to cook meals from scratch. The canal is very close and a lovely area to eRead morexplore, allowing you walk into Devizes in less than 40 mins. The highlight of my stay were the deer spotted twice. Hide

We stayed as a couple in this cottage which is in a lovely location next to the canal and for visiting local attractions. It is close to a main road which can sometimes be audible depending on wind direction. There were lots of pubs to choose from nearby as well as local shops and supermarkets. Overall the cottage was comfortable and well-equipped.
