This spacious cottage which has undergone a full renovation provides an idyllic base for couples, families and friends to enjoy a memorable getaway in the heart of the Lake District. With its stunning backdrop of rolling hills and serene waters, Coniston boasts many attractions sure to captivate visitors. Coniston has so much to offer, with an ample selection of local pubs, cafes and restaurants along with a selection of local shops. Adventure enthusiasts can embark on exhilarating hikes up the towering Old Man of Coniston, the start point of many routes start in the village, revelling in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, climbing, abseiling or canyoning activities can be found locally. Coniston Water lakeshore is only a short stroll away for water-based activities like sailing, SUP, kayaking, coasteering etc alternatively you can take a scenic boat tour on the restored steam gondola, or on one of the many regular boat trips, there is even the option of hiring your own motor or row boat. There is a variety of flat, or more challenging walks available from the front door. History buffs can explore the heritage-rich Coniston village, just 200 metres away, featuring notable landmarks such as the striking Brantwood House, once home to renowned Victorian writer, John Ruskin. For those seeking a touch of nostalgia, a visit to the Ruskin Museum provides insight into the local history and the legacy of Donald Campbell's world speed record attempts on the lake where you can now view the original restored Bluebird. Grizedale forest can be spotted in the distance where you can enjoy a selection of cycle trails from beginner to the extreme routes for the more experienced. Bikes can be hired onsite or bring your own. You can hire a segway to view the forest or take many of the well-marked walking trails which are graded . Grizedale also has a junior and adult Go Ape tree top adventure trail.

Perfect location for peaceful, restful holiday. Easy walking distance to good eating places and food shops. Unoverlooked back garden with lovely views of the hills.
