Escape to the picturesque village of Bradwell and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Bradwell Dale (1.25 miles), where scenic walks through limestone landscapes and tranquil streams await. Venture to the expansive Bradwell Moor (1.25 miles) and Plateau for breathtaking panoramic views of the Peak District countryside, perfect for birdwatching. Situated in the heart of Hope Valley, Castleton is just under 3 miles away, with stunning caverns to explore and beautiful scenery. There are also quaint shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. There are even some cinema and concert events held within the caves throughout the year including the famous Christmas carol concerts. Eyam is 6 miles away but despite its morbid but fascinating plague history, it is a very pretty Derbyshire Village to explore. The spa town of Buxton, the market town of Bakewell, and the stunning Chatsworth House and Gardens are all within 10 miles.

The property is accessed via patio doors from the parking area at the rear, into a cosy sitting room with wood burner offering the perfect place to snuggle up at night time and relax on the reclining sofa and armchair after a day of exploring. There is a separate porch, perfect for all your coats and shoes, and doggy things. This then leads into a well-equipped kitchen/dining area with a breakfast bar and underfloor heating. This large space is perfect for coming together to enjoy meals around the oak dining table. Upstairs are two well-appointed bedrooms, offering a super-king-size zip-and-link which can be made into a twin on request, and a king size. A family bathroom with underfloor heating completes the inside.

Outside you are spoilt for choice. There is a small patio area by the stream to the rear (enclosed by a gate but the fencing by the stream may not be child or dog-proof). To the front is a patio area with garden furniture, raised grassed area with flower borders and a hot tub to soak in after a busy day.

  • 2 bedrooms - 1 super-king-size (zip-and-link beds which can be made up as twin beds on request), 1 king-size
  • 1 bathroom with rainfall shower, separate bath, and WC
  • Electric range style cooker with induction hob, combi microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine
  • Smart TV
  • Wood burner (first supply of logs provided)
  • Underfloor heating on the ground floor and bathroom
  • Front patio with outdoor furniture and hot tub, small patio to the rear
  • Private parking for 1 car
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £200 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £25. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

Lovely, well equipped cottage, perfectly located for exploring the Peak District and dales. The hot tub is a very welcome luxury. Situated next to a road which creates some noise and the hot tub can be seen by passing vehicles - but this didn't impact on a wonderful stay. If taking a dog near in mind the garden isn't fully secure. We had a perfect Read morestay and would definitely go back. Hide

A small but very well furnished cottage in a great location with easy access to public transport. Lying in hot tub looking at the fantastic scenery was a great way to end the day.

We enjoyed our stay at Brough cottage. It is within easy driving distance of Castleton and Hathersage. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed is comfortable. We liked the hot tub which had pretty views but it is rather close to a busy road.

Nice cottage in a lovely location. Unfortunately the hot tub is not completely private as it is on view to passing walkers and cars

Lovely cottage in an ideal location. We stayed Easter weekend with our two children aged 8 and 12 and really enjoyed it. The cottage was beautiful, clean and well stocked with equipment. The hot tub was also a bonus which we really enjoyed.
