This spacious rural retreat is located in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. It offers beautiful rural landscapes, rolling hills and peaceful surroundings, making it an ideal destination for those seeking a tranquil and scenic getaway. There are some lovely trails and footpaths allowing you to explore the beauty of the area, right from your doorstep. Pay a visit to nearby villages including Bishops Offley (1 mile) and Eccleshall (3.1 miles) and enjoy a drink in one of the country pubs. Shugborough Hall (16 miles) is a fantastic day out to learn about the history of the area through a medieval re-enactment or to enjoy a walk through the gardens within the country estate. Alton Towers is 24 miles away and is great fun for the whole family. Enjoy a day trip into the County Town of Stafford (10 miles) or visit the UNESCO site at Ironbridge in Shropshire (20 miles).

Make your way along the county lanes and arrive at the electric gates that welcome you at the property. Step into the hallway and discard of coats and walking boots heading into the spacious converted barn. Step into the beautiful lounge which enjoys lovely views across the stunning countryside. There are comfortable sofas in front of the large Smart TV, perfect to enjoy a movie together. Cosy up on the cooler evening in front of the wood burner with a good book or a glass of wine. The lounge has a great little mezzanine level which has been kitted out with some comfy seats and a , perfect for older children or adults to enjoy some gaming. Continue through into the fully equipped farmhouse kitchen, great for family get togethers allowing guests to make use some of the lovely local produce from the area. Next up is the dining room, which has a table that will comfortable seat eight and has the added benefit of a wood burner meaning families can enjoy meals together at any time of the year. It is a perfect room to enjoy a family celebration, perhaps with a private chef coming in to look after the cooking for you. The next half of the property is where you will find the four bedrooms and three bathrooms. A staircase from the dining room leads up to a quirky loft-style double room, the only room that is not on ground level. The other three bedrooms, two king-size and one twin are accessed through a hallway that leads off the dining room. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and there is a further family bathroom with bath and shower.

The outside space around this property is extensive and offers far reaching views across the picturesque countryside. Enjoy this peaceful location from the patio area which is equipped with seating and a table. Enjoy some alfresco dining with the inbuilt stone BBQ, looking down towards the properties pond. Children can enjoy the grounds, and there is ample space for a game of football or similar.

We had a lovely family weekend for my husbands birthday and the weather was perfect. It was a lovely touch with the welcome drink too. We would definitely recommend a stay at this lovely countryside property. Oh and the dogs thought they were in heaven!

The Stables is in the most idyllic position with far-reaching views across the countryside from the extensive garden and surrounding fields, so we didn't need to walk our elderly dogs anywhere else on occasion. There are some walks nearby and you're close to the canal for towpath strolls. This is a lovely sized property for a big family get together and nice to have 3 bathrooms. The formal dining room was brilliant for us all to sit down together and the house is lovely and peaceful. There is an open pond in the garden which isn't mentioned on the property details and is dangerous if you have children. Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Had a nice welcome pack sent to us from the owners. Lovely spacious holiday home with a very large garden, all the room we needed and more for 8 adults and 4 dogs Beautiful views of the countryside with the most amazing sunrise from the kitchen window. Good heating with radiators all round and log burner for added cosiness in the lounge.

I came to this accommodation with my husband, 2 kids and our friends (2 adults and 2 kids). We enjoyed the weekend so much, loved the accommodation and amenities. The surrounding grounds were great for the kids, but also the inside areas allowed us to have plenty of room. We had a lovely week at The Stables, the cottage is in a beautiful location with views to die for. Loads of great walks on the doorstep, the cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and very homely. We didn't have the best weather so unfortunately couldn't make the most of sitting out but lovely when we did. Great location for visiting places,Read more had a great day in Ironbridge and Attingham Hall and Eccleshall is lovely with great pubs and eateries and very pretty. Would highly recommend. Hide

Lovely location, good property with lots of room for 8 and comfy beds. Owner was very responsive both before and during booking (including a sunday night emergency!). People with mobility issues note there are several steps on the ground floor level due to the age of the building. Absolutely huge garden. Kitchen could have been better equipped and Read morewe didn't have the basket of logs mentioned here but we had a lovely family weekend. Highly recommend The Old Smithy pub in Eccleshall Hide
