A wonderful property that sits in extensive grounds, just bordering the Peak District but well networked for Ashbourne and surrounding Derbyshire and Staffordshire attractions. Conveniently set near Dovedale, enjoy the Tissington Trail where you can roam over 30 miles of countryside trails on foot or by bike. Within 20 miles visit Matlock Bath's vibrant and bustling street, complete with Aquarium and plenty of places to eat. Chatsworth House and gardens (22 miles) is a beautiful historical place to explore or experience heart-stopping thrills on the latest rides at Alton Towers close by.

Walking into the property itself, there is a large utility room, perfect for leaving your coat and shoes as you enter into the kitchen. The kitchen itself is extremely well-equipped, perfect for those evening meals together after a day's exploring. There is a snug area off from the kitchen were you can either relax and watch a film, or enjoy some quiet time reading. The lounge has a Smart TV and lovely soft furnishings for those cosy evening in, as well as a flame effect fire to enjoy. There is a separate dining room, perfect for those meals together, especially on special occasions. Upstairs the bedrooms are split between two floors, offering large and comfortable rooms with plenty of sleeping options. Of the three bedrooms on the middle floor, two have an en-suites, and there is also a family bathroom on this floor. The top room has an impressive empress bed, and walk in wardrobe, as well as an impressively big walk in shower.

Outside there are extensive, beautiful gardens, perfect for exploring and having fun and relaxing in. There is a seating area with BBQ for those balmy evenings enjoying the outside, or perfect for your first warm drink of the day, which sitting surrounded by nature.

We were a party of 6 adults and two dogs. We found cottage to be spacious, beautifully furnished, clean and warm. The sofas and beds are very comfortable and the bedding and towels are of good quality. A lovely welcome pack was provided. The kitchen was very well equipped and the two lounges were appreciated by all. It all made for a lovely New YeaRead morer week. We had the best time at this cottage and celebrated Christmas here with our family. A Christmas tree and decorations had been put up which I thought was a thoughtful addition! Six of us stayed with 2 pet dogs. We had a lovely long weekend. The house was very nice and in a lovely location. We would happily stay again as we really enjoyed our stay.

Instructions are needed for cooker, hob and heating. The house has been decorated and fitted out to quite a high standard. Beds, linen and towels are of good quality. Pots and pans a pleasure to use. Very comfortable family home with an incredible garden. Very spacious inside and outside. We had a fabulous time and its location meant that we were within easy reach if so many great walks, restaurants and beautiful villages.

We loved this property, the Wi-Fi is better than we have at home! There are parts of the property that felt a little unfinished but it didnt bother us at all. The garden is stunning and was a joy to be in. Our dogs loved sniffing around. The property is only a short car ride away from shops and restaurants.
