Property code: 90449

This spacious townhouse is perfectly located in the English Riviera town of Brixham and provides a fantastic bolthole for families. A level 0.6-mile walk brings you to the bustling harbour, offering visitors a choice of boat trips including relaxing tours of Torbay, accompanied fishing trips, and a regular service across the bay to the resort towns of Torquay or Paignton. There is plenty to see and do, from beaches and eateries to scuba and the fascinating replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship The Golden Hind. Further afield, the towns of Paignton and Torquay offer great days out including Paignton Zoo (5.6 miles) and Quaywest Splashdown (4.6 miles).

On entering the townhouse, to your left find the cosy lounge area with Smart TV, sound bar and original feature fireplace, perfect for unwinding. Down the hall to your left is the dining area with table and seating as well as a games cupboard for family nights in. Through to the well-equipped kitchen there is a small breakfast table and everything you’ll need to cook up an evening meal. Under the stairs, there’s a convenient ground-floor WC. Moving upstairs to the first floor, find the family bathroom with a double walk-in shower, a freestanding roll-top bath with a shower over and a WC. Further down the hall is the first king-size bedroom, and then across the landing and up four stairs to your right is another king-size room with homely touches. To the front of the property there is a master king-size room with ample floor space, a Smart TV and large bay window. Tucked away upstairs on the second floor is the twin room; it’s great for children as there is plenty of floor space for playing games, watching films on Smart TV. Please note that the head height in this room is slightly restricted due to a sloped roof.

Outside, through the patio door in the kitchen, is a fully enclosed artificial lawned garden complete with dining area and BBQ. It’s the perfect place for you and your four-legged friends to relax after the day’s adventures.

  • 4 bedrooms – 3 king-size, 1 twin
  • 1 bathroom – double walk-in shower, shower over a rolltop bath, and WC
  • 1 downstairs WC

  • Smart TV and sound bar in lounge. TV in 1 king-size bedroom and the twin bedroom
  • Fully enclosed artificial lawned garden with dining area and BBQ
  • Due to the property being in a residential area and a family home, with regret, the owners do not accept group, hen, and stag parties
  • On-street parking nearby, subject to availability. Public car park 0.4 miles
  • Pub 0.1 miles, shop 0.2 miles, beach 0.7 miles
  • Please note the top bedroom has a sloped roof and in some places the head-height is restricted
  • Sleeps 6 + 2
  • Arrival: 16:00 onwards
  • Departure: before 10:00, unless otherwise stated in your arrival details
  • 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week

A great place to stay. A lovely house with good sized, well equipped rooms and just a short stroll to the harbour. I visited recently with three friends and we all agreed that we would visit again.

Great size house in a good location and very reasonably priced. This was our second stay and we were a party of 8 adults. Good sized rooms, clean and tidy with everything we needed. We even managed to park outside the property for the weekend which was a bonus. A 10 minute reasonably level walk into the Harbour with all the lovely shops, pubs and rRead moreestaurants. We visit Brixham quite often and always have the lovely Sunday lunch at the Burton Pub which is just around the corner from the property. Hide

We had a lovely holiday here. Plenty of space and extremely well equipped house. Many small, considered touches such as milk in fridge on arrival, dishwasher and washing machine tablets provide. Child gate was invaluable and child safety catches on kitchen cupboards. Although we didnt arrive until late, the owners emailed us early on the day of arrRead moreival to say the property was available. We thought this was very thoughtful. Great location although parking was an issue during our stay. Hide

What a fablous house, just what we needed for our party of 8 adults. Well equipped, very clean and tidy. It is very spacious and all bedrooms a very good size. A 10-12 minute walk to the harbour. Really nice well equipped house, in a very good location to get to the Harbourside, walks, etc but not keen on the road or area in close proximity to the house if youre walking with two huskies!

Very spacious house, although if full occupancy seating in lounge would be tight. Well stocked kitchen. Free parking on street, if space, over weekend is a positive. Comfortable beds. Be aware Brixham is on very steep roads but Shore Shack is on the flat, a real bonus.

The Surf Shack was ideally placed to walk down the small incline, approximately 1/2 mile to Brixham quayside. The bedrooms were very large and easily suited the guests, the bathroom was very clean and we even arrived to a milk and tea bags which was a nice touch. Parking was fine about 200 yards through the hospital grounds opposite and in residentRead moreial area. I would certainly recommend this as a place to stay. Hide

Shore shack is a very comfortable home in Brixham. Easy walk down to the harbour. We came for Pirate Festival and had an amazing time. The home is very well equipped, comfy beds and very clean. The management team were very responsive when we couldnt find a high chair for the grandson and delivered it to the house early morning in time for breakfasRead moret. Gutted it is already booked for next year festival but will definitely add to our favourites list. Thank you for a wonderful stay Hide
