This property, located in the village of Leverington, has something for everyone and is directly across from St Leonard's Church, a very beautiful and impressive place of worship. Wisbech (2 miles) is known for its magnificent Georgian architecture, as well as the Wisbech and Fenland Museum and other excellent amenities such as cafes, restaurants, shops, and pubs. The Peckover House and the Octavia Hill Birthplace House are two other historic homes in town worth seeing. For something a little different, go to Elgood's Brewery or the Fenrock Climbing Centre for some excitement and adventure (2 miles). Pay a visit to Sandringham and the King's Estate (22 miles). If you like animals, you should visit the Fenland Equestrian Centre (4.5 miles).

When you first arrive at this lovely property, you can remove your coat and boots in the spacious hallway before proceeding to the spacious lounge. This is a lovely, light-filled area to sit and relax. After a fun-filled day, relax on one of the comfortable sofas and read a book or watch a good film on the Smart TV. Continue down the hall to the open-plan kitchen/diner, which is a beautiful space for cooking or gathering around the dining table to enjoy your meal or play board games. Everything you'll need to prepare a delicious family meal is available in the kitchen. The ground-floor cinema room with cinema-style seating and an impressive TV to watch your favourite movies is the icing on the cake. There is a utility room as well as a downstairs WC. Head upstairs to find five comfortable bedrooms, including two king-size rooms both with en-suite shower rooms, another king-size room that adjoins one of the en-suite king-size rooms, and two single-bed rooms. The family bathroom is also on this floor.

When you step outside, you'll find a large, enclosed garden, as well as a patio area with plenty of garden furniture where you can relax  and dine al fresco. Enjoy time around the fire pit, toasting marshmallows or maybe head under the rectangular gazebo if the clouds start to turn and continue your discussions undercover.

A very clean, comfortable and well equipped house with lots of space. We stayed as a group of 7 and had plenty of room. The cinema room works very well and was an extra bonus to our holiday. This isn't in an area we had thought of holidaying in before but we found plenty to do in the form of walking (it's very flat!), cycling (hired at Wicken Fen) Read moreand National Trust and English Heritage properties. We were six adults and one two year old, spending Christmas week in this stunning house. Everything we could possibly have wanted was there and all we needed was another week, to get full enjoyment of all the amenities. Our host Charlotte could not have been more warm and welcoming. Fantastic property. Great space with well kept rooms and would be brilliant even without the cinema room, but that really was the cherry on the cake. A good selection of DVDs to go with the cinema system, though we streamed a film for a movie night. Why has Roman House been rated with four stars? It should be five! The house is thoughtfully designed with visitors comfort in mind. It is tastefully decorated, with high quality fixtures and fittings and was immaculately clean. The cinema room is fantastic and the gardens are well designed for outdoor entertainment.

A lovely house conveniently located for touring the area and (in our case) visiting nearby family. Roman House is an exceptional large house with plenty of off road parking, and enormous fully enclosed garden, which our two dogs loved. A truly wonderful home that was perfect for 3 couples visiting with little ones. The garden is the highlight with a great open space for playing games and relaxing. We loved the property. The property is very thoughtfully planned out. The beds were very good and everything you'd need was provided. What we were most impressed with was the quality of all the facilities. We've rented houses with cinema rooms before and they tend to be just a TV in a room. We stayed as two families, each of four, plus two dogs. The house is brilliant, the kids loved the cinema room and we had to throw them out to watch the rugby! The garden is enclosed and perfect to play the games that are provided. All facilities are provided, the kitchen has the little items like salt, pepper, etc (trust me, some places dont have Read morethem!) and a bottle of wine was there for us on arrival.
