Snape is a peaceful village tucked in the North Yorkshire countryside just 3 miles from the market town of Bedale. The village offers a pub, and a local shop and is home to a Grade I-listed 15th-century castle which was once the home of Henry VIII's sixth wife. Bedale is a bustling town, housing a range of amenities to make the most of. From here you can also visit other attractive spots such as Thirsk (14 miles) and Richmond (16 miles). Countryside lovers are spoilt with the choice of two National Parks; the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North York Moors, both within 20 miles, where you can enjoy a plethora of walking and cycling opportunities, as well as some quaint little villages.

Park your car on the gravel driveway and enter this characterful renovated barn conversion. The entrance hall will lead you towards a large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge is a fabulous place to relax and unwind with your family and friends together. The kitchen houses integral appliances including a Range-style electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave along with a washing machine and tumble dryer for those holiday practicalities. Rustle up a feast and dine together at the dining table, comfortably seating everyone. After dinner, relax on one of the sofas and pick a film to watch on the Smart TV or simply gather around to plan your next adventure. When sleep calls, there are three well-appointed bedrooms, a ground floor bedroom with a double bed, opposite this room is the shower room with WC. Venture upstairs to the remaining two bedrooms; another double and a twin room. There is also a separate WC on this floor.

Outside, is a wonderful quiet patio accessed from the lounge doors which you can open to extend your space. Enjoy dining alfresco on the patio furniture in the warm balmy evenings. There is off-road parking for two cars.

This was a lovely , very well equipped cottage which was immaculately clean- we wanted for nothing. Having a nine month old baby with us made us appreciate the washing machine and drier. Six adults and one baby and we had plenty of room. We had a lovely week long stay here, the house is comfortable, warm and very well equipped. We had some great trips out including to Fountains Abbey, walks in Round Howe near Richmond and an excellent meal at the Freemasons Arms in Nosterfield.

Such a beautiful house that ticked all the boxes for our family of 5 and our doggy! We enjoyed so many days out and walks which were located so close to the house! The local pub was visited frequently and the locals were all so lovely!

The Cottage is lovely, well equipped, absolutely loved the kitchen it had everything we needed. Shame the weather wasn't good enough to use outdoor patio. The location is great, as you can explorer the North York Moors and Yorkshire Dales easily. The pub in the village serves great food and local beers.

A large property which was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Beautiful village. We felt a bit enclosed surrounded by high fence, as people, who like to relax on holiday we found the noise from the neighbouring businesses a bit annoying on some mornings

Beautiful cottage in a perfect, quiet location. It has everything you could want in a cottage, the cottage is lovely and clean. This is our second visit to this lovely cottage. There are great places to visit close by. It is ideal for visiting family close by, with a great pub in the village and an excellent farm shop too.
