Such a delightful cottage! So snug and cosy, welcoming and peaceful , well equipped and spacious. A real feel at home place as soon as you open the door. Close to Hay for the winter festival atmosphere. We hope to return in the summer time to enjoy spending time in the quirky garden with the babbling brook .

Loved our stay at Brook Cottage. It was the best equipped cottage we have stayed in after many trips away as sisters. Everything was provided for & it was cosy & comfortable. Loved the wild garden & running brook too. Great walks from the door & loads of unspoilt countryside & towns. Hay on Wye was lovely & the circular walk is worth doing. We loveRead mored Talgarth( great cafe there). All in all a superb place to stay . Thanks for the delicious Welsh cakes & eggs Hide

We had a lovely holiday in Brook Cottage. Excellent facilities and plenty to do and see in the area. Our two dachshunds loved the garden which was safe for them to run and play. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and the lovely conservatory. It was brilliant, we loved it.

A delightful experience in a charming cottage. Location was excellent as we wanted to enjoy Hay on Wye and this cottage is so close. Clyro itself reminded me of being abroad in french country villages with its unspoilt beauty. If you like the countryside, peace and quiet and bookshops, this is the place for you!!

This was a lovelly and charming place to spend post our Xmas family time, albeit the staircase was difficult to use, i.e. fairly steep and slippery especially on the lower treads. The bedrooms are comfortable although - as can be expected - the floors are uneven in the landing area. and twin bedroom. The brook runs alongside the house - closed off Read morebut small dogs can escape under the gates/fenced areas and over the lower garden wall. The location is great - quiet area with good transport links. Hide

House was decorated beautifully throughout for our Christmas stay. It has everything you could need. Wood burner heats the home quickly (but youll need to buy more wood as it burns fast). A lovely cottage, full of character. Very well equipped. The bed is so comfortable. Garden is good for dogs. The path down to the back of the cottage through the lovely rambling garden, is steep; something to be aware of if you have a lot of luggage.

I am glad that my children are not babies any more as the old stairs are slippery and you have to take it slow on the last few stairs. The children and dog loved playing in the brook and the fire pit at the top of the garden. The kitchen has everything you will need, but no condiments such as cooking oil.
