The sleepy village of West Heslerton lies just 9 miles from Malton, 11 miles from the East Yorkshire coast and 13 miles from the North York Moors National Park, offering a great base for outdoor adventures throughout the North Yorkshire countryside. The nearby village of Sherburn (2.5 miles) has a handy convenience store and a pub. The surroundings enjoy picturesque countryside where you can visit Wolds Lavender & Nature Farm for nature trails, pack your clubs for Snainton Golf Centre, or head to North Yorkshire Water Park for canoeing and paddleboarding, all within 10 miles. Stop off for a well-earned drink at the local village pub or spend a day at the seaside towns of Filey and Scarborough (13.5 miles).

Head down the planted walkway to your retreat, where memories are about to be made. Enter this well-planned and generously proportioned chalet-style cabin into a bright and open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This is a fantastic space for socialising with your friends and family. The kitchen is well-equipped for you to cater for a quick breakfast, picnic or three-course dinner and includes a gas oven and hob, fridge with ice box, slimline dishwasher and microwave. Dine at the breakfast bar or take your meal over to the dining table and plan your next adventure. The lounge area is the perfect place to spend the chilly evenings while watching a movie on the Smart TV. The luxurious bathroom features a large freestanding bathtub, a large open shower and a WC. There are two bedrooms to rest your head: a king-size bedroom and a king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into singles upon request).

Outside, the property has a great, partly enclosed, wraparound decked terrace which is complete with ramps so that guests can enjoy the outdoors. There is a dining area with a BBQ rack for disposable trays; take your meal around to the covered area for an al fresco dinner. Step into the hot tub and ease your aching muscles after a long day walking around the stunning North Yorkshire countryside and coast – you may even hear or spot the local wildlife rustling around you. There are various spots where you can sit outside with bespoke made seating which is perfect if you want a quiet area to read, follow the sun or enjoy a sundowner in the evening. There is off-street parking for two cars provided. Regret this property does not accept children under 10

Very well equipped accommodation, everything you require. Welcome basket a nice thought. Modern and bright, very spacious. My wife and I and two dogs were there for a week and with some nice weather you could chill out here without leaving for a few days. A huge enclosed outdoor area which the dogs loved with surrounding area ideal for longer walksRead more, goats and horses very friendly. Plenty outdoor furniture, the hot tub a real bonus. Lots of nearby dog friendly pubs serving good pub food. Hide

Hill view cabin was the perfect place for us to have a relaxing weekend away, its spacious, Luxurious and the beds are so comfy! The hot tub, was the perfect place to relax and unwind too. Would definitely think about returning.

Very quiet and secluded, great for the dogs, the hot tub is fantastic, very remote though, a few miles to the nearest town, that said, if you want a relaxing, peaceful break this is ideal. The Lodge is fantastic throughout.

Maybe the decking could do with pressure washing so as not to be as slippery Big plus point was the spacious lodge and the privacy the location afforded Will definitely return Mark and Karen

This is without doubt a super Lodge. The peace & quiet was wonderful, the only sounds were the birds. It is comfortable, has everything you need, is clean & tidy. The hot tub is a real bonus. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners, who are both friendly and welcoming. This is a real treat.

Wow what a beautiful place the owners made us feel very welcome. The cabin was very clean and had everything you needed for your stay even bathrobes for the hot tub which was lovely to relax in. They left a lovely welcome pack which was great. The area around the cabin is massive and very safe for our dog milo to wander around. Absolutely loved this cabin. It was immaculately clean, spacious, cosy, and comfortable beds. Family loved the hot tub. Dogs adored the freedom to roam around and play in the spacious surroundings. A luxury accommodation with everything you need, you will blown away by the surroundings. Far better than the pictures. Although it is on the same plot as your hosts, it is very secluded. Hosts wonderful people, helpful and attentive. Attention to detail first class.

The cabin is amazing. It's located in lovely gardens that are private, secluded and dog safe. A holiday here leaves you feeling rested and stress free, of course you then have to go back to reality but its such a good experience. The owners are lovely, friendly people, they're there if you need them and not if you don't. This is a superb place to stay. The owners have got it down to a tee. The welcome, the little special extras on top of a lovely secluded fantastically equipped lodge make it a perfect place to stay for those who want to chill and yet still be in reach of the fantastic east coast. This was our second time here. We had a fabulous week. The weather was perfect to match the accommodation. There is so much to do and see in the area but if you just want to stay in then everything is there for you. Brian and Amanda are great hosts and very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be looking to book again.
