Cross the causeway at low tide to visit St. Mary’s Lighthouse on its tiny, historic island. Play on the Blue Flag beach just outside the front door, walk, run or cycle south along the promenade towards nearby Tynemouth’s Longsands Beach, historic Priory and Castle and vibrant nightlife, and north to Blyth's sandy beach. Explore bars, restaurants, and shops within walking distance, including a fine dining restaurant, champagne bar, and afternoon tea venue in the gloriously restored Spanish City (0.4 miles). Visit Tynemouth’s bustling weekend market in the station, and a Metro ride takes you into Newcastle city centre. Walk from Collingwood’s statue to enjoy the riverside promenade leading to North Shields, buy seafood in the historic Fish Quay, and enjoy the coffee and restaurant culture.

Enter this welcoming three-storey property directly into the hallway on the ground floor where you can leave your outdoor coats and shoes. Head into the bright and airy kitchen/lounge/diner with sea views to the front and a opening with patio doors to the rear garden. The fully equipped, contemporary kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, a coffee machine and Aeroccino milk frother, dishwasher, washer/dryer, a Smart TV and an Alexa Smart speaker. Enjoy leisurely meals sitting together at the dining table with sea views. Perhaps give the cook a night off and enjoy one of the varieties of excellent takeaways available. Open the French doors in the living area to access the sea views and patio where you can enjoy a coffee. There is also a downstairs toilet on this floor. There are motorised blinds on the ground floor, the first-floor lounge and the master bedroom to decrease the environmental impact. You can choose to sit and watch the smart TV in the downstairs lounge, or walk upstairs to the first floor where you will find another light and airy lounge with comfortable seating to relax and a Smart TV for movie nights. Three, large windows open wide so you can enjoy some fresh sea air while gazing out at the stunning sea views towards St. Mary’s Lighthouse and the local beach. There is a twin bedroom on this floor overlooking the garden and a family bathroom comprising a bath with a shower over and WC.
There are three bedrooms on the second floor; one with a super-king-size bed, amazing sea views and an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC, a king-size zip-and-link bedroom (which can be made up as 2’6” twins on request) also with sea views, and a double bedroom overlooking the garden with a walk-in wardrobe, an en-suite shower room with a shower and WC. Early morning views over the sea are stunning.

Outside there is an enclosed garden and patio area to the rear with garden furniture and BBQ. where you can enjoy alfresco dining and drinks. At the front of the property there is a patio with fantastic sea views. There is off-road, allocated parking for two cars.

Modern spacious townhouse in great location for coastal area around Whitley Bay and so close to the beach. Seaviews are wonderful and everchanging. Lots of eateries, lovely bakeries and butcher, and playparks all within walking distance. Well equipped and comfortable Would definitely use again Great for family gathering Would use again.

Amazing views from 2 bedrooms and 2 lounges. Fab location - lots to do within walking distance plus on metro line for Newcastle/Gateshead and the Northumberland coast/Alnwick etc is only a short drive away. Super spacious house, well equipped and clean. Really enjoyed our week here. Sublime weather helped! However the house surpassed expectations. House is in a perfect position, lovely sea views and an easy walk to nice restaurants and bars. Two parking spaces are great because a lot of the roads are permit parking only. It's well-equipped and the furnishings and fittings are all good quality, beds were very comfortable. Weve stayed in a number of properties in Whitley Bay and this ticked all our boxes. We were 2 families staying together. 2 parking spaces was a game changer as were the 2 en suite bathrooms. Subject to comments above the property was of a very high standard. The kitchen is very well stocked and the lay out with two lounges and 3 bathrooms works very well. The beds are very comfortable and the whole property was cleaned to a very high standard.

Great house for a weekend away. Three couples in our party and there was loads of room. Spotlessly clean and everything you needed. Great location, amazing sea views, and sun trap in the garden, where the furniture was good quality. We stayed at Lantern View for a long weekend there were 7 adults and the house was spot on for space we never felt we was cramped during our stay plenty of room for everyone . Nice spacious house for a family in a beautiful location. The weekend was a family get-together for us, so we were disappointed that the BBQ couldnt be used (damaged lid and no gas) as the weather was surprisingly good! Also, couldnt get a response on the out of hours number when the house alarm went off on the Sunday while we were packing up to leRead moreave! Disappointed that there was no welcome pack! No dishwasher tablets. No linen bags provided for bedding, despite instructions in visitor book. Consequently we had to go shopping for necessities!!.

Lovely house, modern, spacious and comfortable, great location and views. Grandchildren loved proximity to beach. Position of dustbins a problem as they are right next to parking space 2 and the neighbours and you have to squeeze past your car to access them, plus anyone can dump stuff in them. The location of the property was first rate. The house was great for multigenerational living. It was close to all amenities and local restaurants were very good. Access to the beach was great!

I stayed at the lantern view for 8 nights and i can confidently say that its the most welcoming guest house ever in whittely bay! My family and i really enjoyed staying at this house, not only it's clean, well-furnished and provides the essential stuff you'll need but it also has an amazing geographical location. Loved our stay in this lovely house in an excellent location. All beds very comfortable and nice quality bedding. Kitchen very well equipped. Good restaurant just around the corner(La Casetta) and the Fisherman`s Bay fish & chip shop was excellent and so busy!
