For an action-packed day, Dalby Forest (13 miles) is the perfect place for a walk or pedal, whether you are looking for a leisurely ride or something more challenging. The North York Moors Steam Railway is a must-see, taking you all the way to the coastal town of Whitby (22 miles) whilst passing some of the most scenic landscapes. Whitby offers a traditional seaside experience, home to a beautiful beach, historic wonders such as the Whitby Museum and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, and the famed 199 steps leading to the imposing Whitby Abbey.
